My joyous spring day needed a little lunch. There were many places to pick from, but something (mostly my wife) convinced me to try Panera. Despite my typically better judgement, my tastebuds and decision making succumbed to the “What’s New” menu selection. In this area of the menu, you will find catfishing photos of bountiful sandwiches, loaded salads, and more. But much like matches on dating apps, disappointment was my only emotion when seeing my order in person. My perfect 10 was in reality a hard 2. I ordered the Tomato Basil BLT, a seasonal favorite. The menu pictured a towering stack of bread, lettuce, tomatoes, and bacon jutting out in every direction like Guy Fieri’s bleached hair. What I received was more of an LT with a bacon bit sprinkled on each half. Bacon is supposed to be the star of the show. Panera must think the show is a crime drama because the limp soggy half pieces lay there like the lifeless corpse some beachcomber stumbled upon in the opening scene. Only there was no mystery here, Panera had committed this crime in broad daylight, as it was during hours of operation. I’m writing now, with my last bits of waning energy due to lack of lunch. To give you a sense, If i had slapped two Purina Beggin Strips dog treats between some croutons, it would be more appealing and filling. The bacons consistency was on par with a Trolli gummy worm that had sat in a 2 day old opened bag. There are more ways to spell Their then there were strips of bacon on this sandwich and they’re selling this as a meal! The store was too far away to simply return. I was stuck and questioning my decisions the way Kim Kardashian should for having children with Kanye. The $10 I wasted on this meal will be dwarfed by the therapy bills needed to save my marriage knowing this originated from my wife lunch selection. I’ll probably try Panera again around the next time we have full Solar eclipse, but until then I want warn people like the Surgeon General that this sandwich has adverse effects on relationships, hunger and otherwise pleasant...
Read moreI go to Panera Bread in West Lafayette daily and I am thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provideded by the manager, Kayla Godsey. From the moment I walke in, Kayla’s warm and welcoming demeanor make me feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure that every customer was taken care of promptly and with a smile.
Kayla’s dedication to her role is evident in the way she manages her team and interacts with customers. Despite the busy environment, she remained calm and composed, handling every situation with professionalism and grace. Her attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service truly sets her apart.
Not only is Kayla incredibly efficient, but she also creates a positive and friendly atmosphere that makes dining at Panera a delightful experience. It’s clear that she takes great pride in her work and genuinely cares about her customers. Kayla Godsey is a shining example of what a great manager should be, and I look forward to my next visit knowing that I will be in good hands. The team with her is vey professional as well. There is a guy unfortunately I do not remember his name. He is helping all customers in the store collecting the plates. He is very very friendly.
Thank you, Kayla, for making our family daily based visit to Panera Bread so enjoyable. Your hard work and dedication do not go...
Read moreSacred Grounds has the best breakfast. Eleventh House wins on coffee and lunch. Who is going to spend big bucks for an entire day's worth of sodium in one dinner meal here? What am I doing here? Well you know, just had that random five dollar coffee craving. Fantastic staff here! Noticed everyone acted well trained, positive, and magically enjoying their work, very clean and open space too despite the smaller looking building, outdoor seating is lovely. I plopped down and liked the outlet at my feet but noticed wireless was slow and spotty. Got my latte ordered online but then they hid it behind the shelf side so ten minutes later after I checked and saw it ready on the tracker did I walk over and find it! Panera has a serious price gouging issue with their food. I cannot believe anyone dropping twenty bucks here for a drink and sandwich when Chilis, local places, and other mainstream restaurants now offer more value, better quality, and variety. But the coffee game here is decent, glad to see nutrition content and almond milk offered. My whipped cream topped vanilla latte was exactly what was needed for a hot afternoon. Rewards program has become penny pinching too which does dampen the fun of what once was a fun fast...
