While the morning rush was happening, my online order was ready on time, perhaps a little early. When I picked up my Grande-sized drink, I noticed it was quite light. I opened it up and saw that it was roughly 80% full (see picture). I asked, and they said that "it must have been foamy and the whip cream disappeared". Now, I rarely buy drinks at Starbucks, but, when I do, I splurge. But it seems nowadays the quality of the pours is shoddy for coffee that costs over $5. I'm critical of this because I worked for one of the best Starbucks in northern Illinois (based on sales and customer satisfaction) for about 3 years in high school. Steaming and pouring milk is not that hard and every hot drink is made basically the same way. When steaming, foam just the top 10% of the milk in the container for about 5 seconds. Then, put the steaming rods at the bottom for the remainder of the steam. When done, grab your big metal spoon and hold back the foam while you pour so ONLY MILK comes out until you have about 1/2'' - 3/4" of room at the top. Add a little foam and whip if necessary. The drink should be heavy! People pay for a milk drink, not a foam drink, and no one is going to complain if it's filled to the top and whipped cream is coming out of the drink hole. Also, they probably won't complain if they have to wait a few moments longer if they're getting a quality drink. It's possible to deliver quality and quantity - and people should advocate for this. Thankfully, the barista remade the...
Read moreLet me start with I visit Starbucks at this location daily. I have always enjoyed the customer service that I receive from David. This morning I have received the worst intentionall customer service of my life.
Me: I pull up to drive thru place my order 2 venti coffees, and I always add to my coffee, I was cut off.
Response: we will have it at the window
Me: Excuse me I would like to finish my order
Response "Yep go ahead"
I order both coffees with a splash of cream 2 sweet and low and one with a shake of cinnimmon
I pull forward to watch the gentlemen who took my order and make my coffee fill the cups half up with milk for both and not add sweet n low. As my coffee is being handed to me "I say I don't want to be rude however did you pour milk into the cups." I was told no the half and half and milk are in the same containers. I then asked did you put the sweet n low in his response was YEP. The individual was rude confrontational and overall not happy to be at work. I realized asking for my coffee to be re-done was not an option. To say the least the coffee was luke warm from all the cold milk had no sweet n low in it and was not what I ordered. I don't mind receiving poor customer service when it can't be prevented. Today to receive poor customer service because someone felt like being passive agreesive is not tolerable.
I will no longer visit this store! I would rather drive 5 extra miles then have to deal with this...
