TLDR: great value, great quality, nice servers & environment, definitely one of my top contenders for when I’m craving sushi or ramen!
Tried Katana recently in my search for a go-to sushi place. I was initially impressed by their menu. They have an assortment of sashimi, classic rolls, specialty rolls, and also ramen/hibachi/non sushi items. Most rolls will range from a few bucks for simple rolls to $9-12 for more complex specialty rolls. They are all worth it though! I appreciated that their menu was easy to read and they explained what was in all the rolls that weren’t self explanatory. My party ended up getting a California, Boston, lava, spider, cucumber, and C.C rolls. California and cucumber were good and classic. Boston was probably the best boston roll I’ve had anywhere. Lava, Spider, and C.C were all super good too! Dynamic flavors and good portions! I also got the shoyu ramen which was beautifully made. All the elements were perfectly cooked and so full of flavor. The portion looked a little small at first but I got full very fast as they don’t skimp out on the portions! Their servers were very nice and the environment was very intimate feeling. It got pretty busy while we were there but it never felt crowded. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a sushi or ramen place and I look forward to going back...
Read moreUodate: Had been years since I ate here and many people think it is good, so I tried it again 3-2022. All sushi seemed.freshky made. They still use the fish paste instead of chunk meat for raw rolls (not my favorite) Again, theere was.no crunch on the rolls supposed to have crunch. There was no spicy or heat to the spicy rolls. Also tried Tonkatsu Ramen.... was not a fan. A family member had the teriyaki beef and enjoyed it. So I upped my review to a 2 star from 1 star. Not Good sushi.
2014: Had sushi to go. Spicy tuna crunch roll, spicy girl roll and shumai. The shumai was good. The spicy tuna roll had no crunch, was not spicy, and came in a container that appeared to come from a grocery store or gas station...little peice of fake grass diving roll from wasabi and all. I am sure it came from grocer just down the strip. Tuna was ground/pureed and roll was gross and lifeless. The spicy girl roll seemed fresh made. It also had pureed fish. The sauces were tasty. The roll overall not so tasty due to the consistency of the tuna. Overall I am not very impressed. I love sushi and eat it often and have had sushi from all over the globe. Waited in restaraunt while meal being prepared. Place has nice atmosphere...

I spoke to Janet/Jeanette over the phone who was a bit curt and seemed to be in a big rush to end the call. We tried the following:
