Definitely the best (and to my knowledge only) place in town to get South Asian ingredients and other paraphernalia (correction: I just remembered there’s also LA Village Food Mart on the levee, but that place is so terrible it might as well not exist). They have a comprehensive and fairly priced selection and the staff/owners are all very friendly and happy to help you find anything. Unfortunately it’s not in a great location - getting in and out can be an issue if traffic is bad and the parking situation is, um, less than ideal. Also, it had just opened right before I moved out of state last July, and although the decor was essentially nonexistent and there were large empty areas I figured it was a work in progress. Well, I moved back a year later and if it’s a work in progress, that progress would be best measured on a geologic timescale. I don’t think a single thing had changed. Plus their card reader wasn’t working last time I visited, which I’ll assume they had no control over and it was fine anyway, I just paid in cash (despite the “national coin shortage” which, not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but the manager of my bank told me in no uncertain terms was absolute nonexistent, so take that as you will). Anyway, definitely check it out, if you ever need any South Asian ingredients or prepared food (I think, can’t confirm) even the largest container imaginable is cheaper there than the cheapest you can find anywhere else in town, and it’s all...

Nanak a brand of sweets is really bad and doing fraud with the customer. They add tissue paper/toilet paper in their sweets such as rosmalai. Please don't buy this product. I believe even the owner of the shop doesn't know about this.
If you like indian and asian cuisine you will like this shop. They have millions of spices and they are good. Their frozen section is not rich yet but they have some fresh chilli, less expensive veggies (selected and not available all time). I really like their okra, chinese melon, long melon,...
Read morePrices are mostly reasonable but sometimes a little higher. If you’re cooking South Asian cuisine, this is probably the only place in town where you will be able to find almost everything you need. They have a great assortment of dry goods and shelf stable items, but the freezer and fresh section doesn’t have many options. Store is clean, well organized and prices are listed(which is not always the case for small ethnic grocery stores). They accept credit cards....
