A Tragic Fall From Grace
Let me be perfectly clear. There's a special kind of disappointment reserved for watching a place you once cherished descend into utter chaos, and this Taco Bell has become a masterclass in that very descent. What was once a reliable go-to for a quick, satisfying meal has devolved into a sad, hollow echo of its former self, run by a crew that seems to have an active disdain for the very concept of customer service.
The first bite is with the eye, but the first impression here is an auditory assault from a drive-thru speaker manned by an individual who treats a simple request for hot sauce as a personal insult. The sheer contempt in his voice was palpable. Honestly, I've had warmer welcomes at the DMV. This wasn't a misunderstanding; it was a deliberate, shocking display of rudeness. On another visit, the standard of professionalism had plummeted to include staff in hair bonnets, serving up the same lazy, resentful attitude. It's an absolute disgrace. This systemic failure, of course, lands squarely on the shoulders of management. Where are the standards? Where is the training? Where is the pride? You are not just hiring employees; you are cultivating a culture of complete and utter apathy that poisons the entire industry and experience. And what an experience it was. I ordered the Y2K luxe box, nachos, and an empanada. The box was a collection of lukewarm, sad ingredients that seemed thrown together without an ounce of care. It was less "luxe" and more "lazy." The nachos were a forgettable, tepid affair. The fact that the only two items worthy of consumption were a mass-produced caramel apple empanada and a fountain soda speaks volumes. When the most competent thing coming out of your kitchen is a beverage you didn't even make, you have a serious, serious problem. If I left not just hungry for decent food, but appalled by the attitude that ruined my appetite entirely. This establishment is a textbook example of how a lack of leadership can rot a business from the inside out. Get a grip, train your staff, and instill some semblance of respect for the customers who pay your wages. Until then, avoid this location. It is, without a doubt, a monument to...
Read moreTaco bell is one of my favorite fast food restaurants to go to. I love droping in and Geting great service and treated right by the workers as a customer should be treated. The stations are all clean and tables are all nice for people to sit at and have a small talk while eating. Always someone at the register ready and prepared to take your order. Well today looking forward to grab a bite to eat first thing that poped up was taco bell let's go there. Well I went to the one on new haven by barns and Nobel. And I never seen any taco bell service and a mess and trash every where with rude workers I have never seen that or experienced that at any taco bell. Today I went to order and he was just so rude and when I asked for something he had no clue what I was talking about but I read it off the menus and had to show it to him because he had no clue what that was . And if understand if he was new but the rude smirk and tone wasn't nessecarry. So as he prepared to go to the back I got the cup and went to the drink area and oh my word there was soda and juice every where and wrappers all over the station it was filthy. And just not at all restraunt taken care of. The floor had trash and when I went to find a seat I had to clean my own table. Waiting for my name to be called I sat down and an older women (elderly) stood there acouple minutes and waited patiently. She then asked the guy facing the opposite direction of the counter "exuse me is there some one at the register" and he replied with "somewhere around here" And yelled in the back for the register guy. Now I have a job my self at a bakery and we do things alittle different but to speak to an elder like that and not to even look at her when saying it is impolite and rude. As well the fact that they yelled for the back . When he could have turned around and said "one moment ma am he will be right with you and go to the back to get him. But what world is that. We do it that way as well as all the other taco bells I have been to . Something needs to change there. And to take care of tables ,Floors , drink station, and most importantly the service there needs to...
Read moreI have been here several times and have consistently had the same issues as I am about to address. As soon as we walked in the cashier had already taken the one guest's order and told the manager he needed pennies. The manager took about 2 minutes to bring him pennies while we all waited. (I would like to point out this same manager had an issue with a customer the last time we were there and instead of handling the situation, she sent one of the employees to talk to the angry customer while she hid in the back office.) Next the guy at the counter, who seemed completely lost, took our order. We waited about 7 or 8 minutes for that order, which then turned out to be wrong. They gave us regular tacos which should have been supremes. It was a #3, ao it's really just a matter of knowing the menu. My husband who is a manager in the industry, took the tacos back to the counter to have it corrected. He was ignored until he spoke up after the guy at the counter had taken another 2 orders. After he was finally able to tell them what was wrong the guy just stared at us like we were lying, then grudgingly told the guy behind him. Instead of correcting our order another 3 orders were made and handed out before my foos arrived. It was a total of 15 minutes between taking our order and getting us the correct #3 we ordered. On top of this, the guy at the counter was out mopping the floor while a line of about 5 people formed and did not wash his hands when he returned to the counter. Personally, I think this all comes down to poor management, and I don't understand how the district supervisor is allowing such poor service to continue. Go in any Sunday, as that is the day we are always in there and I promise you will get the same result - slow, rude service and poor management. I hope the corporation or owners will start paying attention to this store and provide the training or restaffing it...
