La Michoacana — Restaurant in West Palm Beach

I have been a good customer to la Michoacán for many years, but lately the service has been getting bad. Yesterday, me and my husband had a very bad experience. The lady that “helped us” was very rude. The closing time was 10, and we got there at 9. We were going to get a bunch of stuff as I was going to bring it for my big family that was visiting. She didn’t want to prepare anything on their menu for us, no esquites, no malteada, no fritura preparada. NOTHING! Every single thing we asked her for she said “No, we aren’t doing that. We already cleaned” Having drove 20 min to get there I was very dissapoinnted with the way they treated us as she even started dancing while ignoring me when I told her that they should change their hours of operations if they are not going to take care of customers after 9. So please If you don’t want to serve till 10, then change your hours....

We found ourselves in need of satisfying a sweet tooth this evening and thought we’d try someplace new. Greeted by friendly staff we took our time deciding what we wanted. Wife ordered a medium (2-flavors) coffee and caramel ice cream. I tried out the medium cherry with raisins and walnuts and cheese cake with strawberry. Staff described the medium as 2 flavors, so I assumed that meant 2 scoops. We got probably 2-3 scoops of each flavor instead! Wow! They also served a variety of other desserts, popsicles, coffees, and aqua frescas too. Not to mention nachos and baked bread. Total bill for all we got was $11. Wow again!

This is an authentically Mexican ice cream shop. We do not speak much Spanish and certainly are not conversant, but the language barrier was not a problem. Staff we all friendly and offered samples of the flavors we wanted to try too. Always fun trying...

I used to come here when I was young and the workers were friendly and kind. I went here a few days ago and they were very rude to me. I asked for ice cream in a small cone and one of the ladies "tried" to put some in a cone. She then tells me that it's impossible to put ice cream in the cone because it's "too hard" and she tried to offer to switch the flavor or the size of the cone. I wanted to have some time to think about it, but she rudely asks me what I wanted because she "didn't have time to wait" I left without buying anything because of her rude behavior and that she and another customer started talking trash about me in...
