My family and I went to mom chaffes this evening to find that they employ one of the absolute worst waiters we have ever come across. This gentleman was very unattentive and was extremely disappointed that we were not ordering alcoholic beverages. He needed to be flagged down in order to get refills on the soda, coffee, and the water. This is not our first time at mom chaffes but this time it was so bad that we are contemplating not returning. I won't list the servers name bc I don't wish to mess with anyone's income, however I would put this out there as a warning to the management to do better. We spent over 300 on the meal in total and we watched as other parties who were of the same size were treated differently than we were. When you go out to a nice restaurant, the experience is everything, and clearly the experience was so awful that it was worth writing this review. My father ordered a seafood lasagna which happened to be a special... he took a few bites and stated that it tasted like there was Palmolive dish detergent in the vodka sauce. He was not willing to tell the waiter because the waiter obviously would not have cared anyways. My dish was good, but I am writing this for the party. I'm sorry mom chaffes...

My girlfriend and I came here for our anniversary which was also NYE. We loved it so much we came back for a regular dinner. Both times were great!

AMBIANCE: This is such a cute and quaint place that makes you feel at home immediately. The restaurant is in the basement of a townhome building so the ceilings are a bit low. It’s dimly lit making it very romantic. The servers are very friendly and are always happy to tell you what the specials are.

FOOD: The food here is definitely traditional Italian grandma cooked food. The tomato sauce is a bit sweet to us but that’s a personal thing. The ravioli is filled with delicious cheese that you get in every bite. The lasagna is a large portion that you can save for later, a very hearty place.

DESSERT: I needed a separate section for this. The cheesecake is to die for! The best cheesecake I’ve ever had! We’ve only tried the original which is served with strawberries. Each time we’ve had it, it melted in our mouths and we savored every bite. Love it!

We look forward to visiting this place again. The pricing is up there so it wouldn’t be our weekly visit but every now and then when we want to treat ourselves, this would be a top contender of...

I went for my first time last week with my cousin. He tried calling to make a reservation. Which he heard that it was recommended to make a reservation. So that's why he was calling. There wasn't an answer on the phone. But he really wanted to try the chicken parm he was told about. So we went anyways. Luckily it was only two of us and they had just enough seats to fit us in. The atmosphere was very nice and old school. Which personally I like it. Our original waiter seemed to be kind of new he took a little longer then usual. But he was very informative with the specials they had on that day ect ect. Also another waitress Paula was a huge help with getting other things we wanted. The food was very amazing. I didn't get to take a picture of my Lasagna. But it was very good. It was made with like crabs and stuff like that. I recommend it. It's a bit pricey for some people. For the quality of food you're getting, it's fair I think. Between me and my cousin. Well both only got a meal each and he had a beer, I had a soda. And it was like $60 something. Not including the tip. If you can afford it, I recommend checking it out. Seems like a nice place to...

I recently visited Mom Chaffe's Cellarette and was impressed by my experience. The cozy hole-in-the-wall spot has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I started off with an Aperol Spritz and was delighted by the refreshing taste. The Bruschetta special was a standout dish, with fresh garlic bread topped with onions, tomatoes, and a light and fresh pesto sauce. The Eggplant Parmesan was some of the best I've ever had, the eggplant was perfectly cooked, crunchy and not soggy at all. The sauce was a little sweet for my liking, but the garlic bread helped balance it out. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I would rate it a 10/10. I highly recommend Mom Chaffe's Cellarette for anyone looking for a great meal and a great atmosphere.
