McDonald's — Restaurant in West Sacramento

So me and my kids were very thirsty froma long drive and decides to go to this mcdonald for drinks. On 08/07/23 around 1030pm I came to order drinks and the drive thru person had ask me "what can I get for you" so I had order a raspberry freeze a sweet tea and a powerade with sprite. He then pause for a good 5 sec and says he don't have sprite. Then he ends our conversation by say "total be at the first window" first of costumer service is not suppose to talk like that. I was going to order mcdouble too. When I got to the window I said what's wrong you guys don't have any sprite. He says we ran out a lot of people been ordering sprite. Now I pulled up to the second window and there I see the shift leader coming over to the window to peak at me. Which is really weird. The guys had grab me my powerade and then left the window to go get me my sweet tea and raspberry freeze. Came back and gave me my drinks. I had left and when I drink my drink it was water down at the bottom like they were so scared of business and lazy that they out ice into the cups for so long that the ice water down and then put our drinks into them. My powrade also tasted like some ones breath nasty I don't know if they chew on ice and spit it in there or what it was but drinking out of a drink and I can smell a breath oder is disgusting. And then my sweet tea was not sweet and yes again water down again. Now I've been in this industry for so long and I have never seen sprite ran out. I have never tasted water down drink that has a odor of a human breath very disgusting. Now I blame the shift leader during that shift because if she was professional in what her role is this would never happen being lazy and finding the easy way out is not except able. Corporate or mangers if you guys are reading this you guys need to investigate and keep an eye on the Is person to see if they are a fit for you restraunt. I never coming back to this...

I’ve come to this spot often for a chocolate milkshake. But now they’re not even chocolate milkshakes, they’re…swirled? I hateeee plain vanilla milkshakes (especially being 6 months pregnant, I’m particular), which is why I got chocolate. This has happened 4 times now. What is hard about making a chocolate milkshake?! I got the easiest thing on the menu besides a dang coke! 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Finally, I went up to the gal at the second drive thru window and I said, “oh do you guys, like, swirl the shakes now? It’s not full blown chocolate?” She was confused, so I showed her the shake, and she said, “that’s a chocolate shake.” Like girl please, this is clearly half chocolate. She was clearly annoyed with me for asking, didn’t bother to fix the issue, didn’t asked if I wanted it remade, and had attitude when I drove off. This was at around 1 PM today.

My husband was with me, and he used to work at McDonalds 10 years ago. He said they’re just being lazy. He said he’d go back in, but I said forget it, never coming here again. I’m done spending money here. They make $20 a hour for this kind of service and can’t even make a milkshake? My money ain’t going here no more. Drain the swamp!!!

They’re overcharging customers, over paying employees, all to make half-assed orders then give you attitude, or forget things completely.

We came here so many times before the shake incidents too, and they either gave us the wrong order, or forget something. My husband had to go back in threes times in one day because it was so wrong.

It looks like a nice McDonald’s on the outside, but don’t let that fool you…go to Taco Bell next door. They’re faster, nicer, and never mess...

So, about 2 years ago, I'm passing by this McDonald's at night and had to stop at the intersection. A grandkids says, "Look! It's 'Nalds'!" I was perplexed at that statement until I looked at their sign. Yup, only the nalds of McDonald's was lit up! Folks, it's still the same as of a month ago.

This should shine the light of the quality and customer service issues at this location. Besides some of the complaints in other reviews, a week ago, there was a day when you couldn't get any type of hamburger because they had a grill problem. So I had to settle for a chicken sandwich. There was another day a few months ago where they ran out of ketchup! Ketchup!...that's grounds for termination of their purchasing person.

Now, I only buy here when I have to, so they don't see me much at all, now. And I live close by.

I know that they have good days, too. I think their employees have their hands tied in some of these cases. But they are at a very questionable status when it comes to getting what I expect- a good meal, a clean establishment, and good service.
