Oscar's Very Mexican Food — Restaurant in West Sacramento

I had the supreme quesadilla with grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was marinated well and cut up into little chunks that made it very easy to eat (chicken in every bite).

I also had chips & guacamole, I wasn't expecting guacamole all over the chips rather guac and a side of chips. The guac was so-so it was right in between being a taqueria style guac salsa(liquidy)and mayonnaise (texture wise 😜)there was no chunks of avocado like legit guacamole. The chips I recieved were much better than the free ones under the lamp, only downside is that they are served with your food not before while you wait.

The salsa bar was on fire!!🔥🔥🔥If you love SPI-CY your going to love the 5 or 6 different salsa variations this restaurant provides. I tried the two green salsa, very good and had me sweating just a little bit. I also like how they provide marinated carrots by themself (for those who like the carrots in the jalapeno carrot mix but never get enough carrots out of the mix)

I would definitely recommend trying this place if you like semi-fast and fresh mexican food cooked to order.

I usually go to the one off freeport but this location is closer to my home. So i decided to try it. I ordered a California burrito which is $6 and some change the girl tells me its $8.80 I didnt feel like arguing with her so I handed her my card. She then tells me its declined. I checked my acct on my phone and said no there is plenty of money in there please check your Square ( mobile register she was using) she says no it said declined sorry and hands my card to me laughing. As Im leaving I hear her have the same conversation with the customers behind me that their card was being declined. Once again instead of checking the machine like common sense would tell her she turned thwm away as well. I drove all the way to freeport using the same card but this time I ordered the burrito and chips and salsa and extras on my burrito and only paid $7.25 using the same card she was declining. Good prices, decent sitting area, food is close to average, staff leaves much to be desired and the salsas are a disgrace to Mexican food everywhere. As soon as I walked in (first & last time) you could hear the staff arguing about who should deal with a customer issue and nobody wanted to step up. It was an ongoing debate and meanwhile customers, myself included waited by the sidelines to get some sort of attention. Finally I order and tried the carnitas burrito supreme. That was not carnitas, it was some fried meat. The supreme is adding beans, cheese and a bowl full of shredded lettuce and cabbage. Took it to go, and grabbed some chips, the "spicy" salsa and the red salsa. Got home, tried it all and the chips were stale, salsas were not spicy at all and I'm not sure what the "spicy" salsa was supposed to taste like, it tasted as if whatever they used to make it was burnt.
