The service is always slow despite there being very few customers. Anytime I've ordered it's always at least 3-5 minutes before someone comes to help me wit my pickup order. I called for a pickup order just before 12pm. I was told 25 minutes. Knowing that the service is always slow I even gave 45 minutes. When I arrived, a school district was having a fundraiser in which multiple teachers were picking up large orders, orders for 8 at the minimum and 20+ at the maximum. The person with the 20+ order actually put his order in the day before. After arriving and seeing this, it was evident that there were not even close to prepared to handle such larger orders and there was no possible way that my order would have been ready in 25minutes. There was nobody to check in with to see if the order was ready or to even notify that u were there to pick up an order. I peeked into the doorway of the kitchen to try to get some sort of assistance for myself and all the others waiting. The guy who I'm guessing was a manager immediately dismissed me saying their working as fast as they could. I mentioned to him that I was just picking up a single order unlike all the others who were picking up multiple orders. His response was the same with a little bit of an attitude this time and a neck roll. I stood there in confusion as to what just happened and also why if a single order is ready, why they would have to wait for multiple 8 and 20 people orders to be done and bagged before you getting it. He then with an attitude said that I wasnt allowed in the kitchen, which I wasnt and replied to him. He then said well I cant be where i was. Read moreStruggled with giving the restaurant only three stars. First, I liked the place. Was my first time there and was for a retiree luncheon.
We had a group of 7 and were told we all had to be on one check because "it would take 20 minutes for wait staff to enter orders in the computer". This didn't sit well with the group as it's met there for the past 7 years and we voiced our opinions. We ended up with separate checks but had to figure out how to use the card reader at the table. It was a most unenjoyable experience.
Next time, many of us will pay with cash so we don't have to deal with the card reader.
Now to the good stuff. The staff was friendly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a good selection of $8 lunch specials. Most of ud had them.
I had a double cheeseburger with fries and a bowl of chili. I attacked the fries first as they must be eaten while warm. They were perfect.
Next I tried the chili. It was thick, meaty, and the best chili I've eaten from ANY restaurant. I gotta ask the manager how they do it as I want the recipe.
By the time I got to the burger it was cold. That's what happens when you talk and eat. (Hadn't seen my friends since they retired.) It was flavourful and would have better warm. Not Chili's fault. Only thing I didn't like was the brioche bun. Not a fan but it seems to be the norm among most restaurants lately.
Overall experience was positive and I will gladly give the place another visit. I want to go back alone so I can concentrate more on the food, wait staff and the restaurants decor. Guaranteed, there will be more than one serving of chili at my table. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Read moreMy wife and I had dinner yesterday and it was amazing. We normally visit the KOP location but happen to be shopping in Downingtown and decided to try Parksburg Chili's. We were greeted warmly by the hostess immediately. Once we arrived at our table Chyanne came over and greeted us. Chyanne was full of energy, very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, walked us through the menu, brought refills with out us asking, prebussed (you don't see that to often at other restaurants) literally the BEST SERVICE we've had in any restaurant In the past 5 yrs. The food was hot, fresh, sampler was awesome (tenders hot n crispy and SW eggrolls were lightly crisp and you can tell the oil is clean and filtered - food not greasy) everything cooked perfectly (burger ordered pink and it was to perfection! I was in restaurant management for years and was a corporate trainer so, I said to my Wife, I bet this store is a Training Store. I just had to ask and Chyanne and she confirmed that they had a few managers in training (MIT). I will tell you this, you need to get Chyanne involved in both in- house training and corporate training because she is special. I left out the restaurant was exceptionally clean. Also Manager Devan visited our table and was very polite and professional. We shared our feedback with her as well. Please let your Team know that they are doing an amazing job and to keep it up.
