I went to this location of Panda Express at about 9:30 p.m on Saturday night. A full hour before they close. There were four cars ahead of me in the drive-up and then two more lined up behind me, and almost 13 minutes no car moved. I tried to call the store to find out what was going on and there is no way in their menu to get to an actual person. (I would have just driven away except their drive up lane has no exit except for post the window itself) Eventually I got to order where I was told that if I wanted chow mein I would have to wait several minutes because they don't have all the food ready when the store is getting ready to close. Again that's an hour away, and it's Saturday night! When I got to the window I asked for the manager and she argued with me that there are many of the foods that they don't have ready all the time as they don't get ordered that often. I said so people don't order chow mein that often huh? And she just said we just like to prepare it fresh along with several other items. I said you're a fast food restaurant! She's argued that "We are not a fast food restaurant!" I said I am at a drive-up window at a restaurant that has "Express" in the name! She continued to deny any accountability of any kind. She told me that the reason that we all had to wait so long was that the order for the vehicle at the front of the line was wrong. She didn't accept accountability for that either. A reasonable person, ANY reasonable person, I would think, would solve that problem by first taking accountability for the error (Not Likely) and then asking that customer to "Please pull around to a parking space while we remake your order and we will bring it out to you." Doesn't that make sense? I think it does. In fact, it doesn't sound crazy at all to me. I don't think I'll be going to that location anymore. They may be want to hire an adult, at least one. Perhaps the manager should be an adult at least. And by adult I don't simply mean 18 years or older, I mean somebody with the ability to resolve an issue in a common sense way.
Thanks a lot...
Read moreListening skills are very important when taking orders. Tonight we decided we wanted some Panda. They had a new item in Sweet and Sour Chicken. I asked for a sample and Ceasar (Manager) informed me that they do not do samples anymore. Not a big deal. I said "Then I won't be getting that". Ceasar then in a pleasant yet passive, contempt way started to question if I ever tried anything without a sample. I said yes and he then tried to get me to choose the sweet and sour. I said no and it should have ended there. Ceasar continued his tonality and kept going. He said, "you know, sometimes people have to be brave and try new things in order to know if they like them". My wife informed him of her order and he missed an item, twice. She called him out on his listening skills and the way he was talking with me was a bit condescending. He said he was not. Moving on I provided my order like I have a hundred times before. Rice, Orange Chicken and double Black Pepper Chicken in one container please. We paid and we checked my order. The Orange Chicken was not there. When I called him out he expressed that he missed that. I reaffirmed the need to listen and he said he was. I said "clearly not if we are having this much trouble" he said, "yep, yep, clearly I was"... while I was still talking. At the end he stated "You guys are clearly having a great day, so keep having a great day!"
Ceasar single handedly made this visit one of the worst I have had at this location. His tone and actions are those of someone who knows what to say to make people feel inferior or put down. This person clearly does not represent Panda Express in a positive light and as such, we will cease using...
Read moreThe Home Depot had the tools I needed in stock. There was this Panda Express right there, so I decided to pick up lunch for my girlfriend and I on the way home. I ordered a bigger plate, 2 orange chicken and 1 terry. I also ordered a plate, 2 orange chicken and 1 order of spring rolls. I noticed the employee putting the spring rolls in with 1 order of orange chicken. I reminded her that this was a plate. So she took out the spring rolls and added another orange chicken. Then I noticed the same thing with my bigger plate, 1 orange, and 1 terry. I had to explain 3 times to the male employee that this was a bigger plate with 2 orange chicken.
I get home, and give my Gf her food . . . no spring rolls. I call to get this resolved. I do not live by this Panda Express. They told me to come in. I am not driving that far for a $2 order of spring rolls. She said her boss would call me back. Her boss did not call me back. I had to call them back.
Their general manager had the same offer. That I had to be in the store for them to credit back to me my $2. Insert paper boy from Better Off Dead here. He also suggested they could put in a credit in my name there. I reminded him that I live nowhere near there. There has to be a way to credit back my $2, or transfer it to the store that I do live near. Nope, no can do. Also, he told me that his employees do know what a bigger plate and a plate is when I told him I had to educate both of his employees.
Then he...
