Man I don't even like leaving negative reviews, but I just feel like this experience was exceptionally bad. We ordered a slushie and a shake tonight (which we received like 10 minutes after our friends got theirs even though we ordered before them), and my shake was great; I felt like it was really well made. But the slushie for my girlfriend was pretty much just like water and syrup (I know that's what a slushie essentially is, but it's like it had melted or something--it was almost juice). And it didn't taste great, so we asked one of the delivery girls if we could get it remade. She retorted with something like "Are you sure it tastes watery?" as if my girlfriend was unsure of her experience. She says she'll have to go grab her manager to talk to us about this, which takes another 15 minutes. By this time, I've finished my shake and have thrown everything away (including my receipt, which, hindsight I should have kept). The crew manager on shift (Jonathan Yam) finally comes out and asks what the problem is, so my girlfriend calmly explains that it's watery and doesn't taste good and would like something else. So he says okay and asks her what she would like. She asks for a shake, but he says it has to be the same thing (even though they're the same price). But due to the bad experience, she doesn't want another slushie, so she just asks for a refund instead. Jonathan says that he needs the receipt in order to process a refund. So here I am digging through the garbage (he literally just watches me do this) trying to find the receipt that I just threw away, and I can't find it. So he says we can't have a refund. (How hard is it to look up an order??) My girlfriend just walks away angrily and throws her slushie in the trash. I spend another few minutes looking through it and eventually find it. We flag down a delivery girl and ask her to give the receipt to the manager to get our refund. He comes out another 10 minutes later with cash in his hand and says that we can't have the money until he gets the slushie back (as if he was going to make us dig through the garbage again because "he didn't see her throw it away"!). Are you serious? We're just a little irritated at this point. He starts arguing with us saying that "the slushie shouldn't have been melted at this point because you ordered at 9:23 and it's now 9:58, and they're good for half an hour, so when you got it, it should have been fine. But here's your refund because I'm so nice." Like he was basically telling us we were wrong. That's like a customer saying their sandwich tastes bad and the manager responding with "I'm sorry, your sandwich actually tastes fine because we make all of our sandwiches the same every time without fail." It was so bizarre, like he wouldn't admit that they made a mistake. The whole 10 cents it costs them to make a slushie will now cost them a lot more than that. And what I thought was worse was that at no time did he even offer an apology. Just horribly disappointed with the service. I know the customer is not always right, but I felt like we were pretty reasonable, and we were just...
Read moreI went to this Sonic the other night to get my friend a coke. When I get to her house, within 5 minutes of the restaurant, she tastes the coke and says it's totally watered down. She opens it to show me that it's a light brown color, not the darker brown a coke should be. She has to dump it out because it's no good and I am on my way to a meeting and can't take it back to get a new one right then. I grab the receipt to call and let them know the problem and ask if I can get her a replacement the next day. The number on the receipt just keeps going to a recording that says "all circuits are busy." I try several times that night with no luck, just the recording. The next morning I go back to the restaurant to talk to the manager. (His name is Mario.) I explain the situation and he argues with me about why I was calling the wrong number. I told him I called the number on the receipt, which I had forgotten to bring with me, but I did have the other copy of the receipt (one was for the food and one for the credit card payment). I show him this receipt and, miraculously, it has the CORRECT number on it. I explain that THE OTHER receipt had a different number, which I showed him in my recent call history in my phone. He argues that I must have gotten that number somewhere else because the number on THIS receipt is the only number. He further argues with me that there was nothing wrong with the drinks the night before because he was there and changed the syrups himself. I told him I saw the drink myself and it was totally watered down. He CONTINUES to argue with me, but finally agrees to give me a replacement coke now. I explain that my friend is out of town now so could he please replace it with diet and I'll drink it myself since I don't drink regular coke. He says no, he will ONLY replace it with the exact thing: regular coke! Are you kidding me, dude!? I told him that he'd just have to have a more upset customer then because I DON'T DRINK REGULAR COKE! He finally concedes to give me the diet, but "just this one time." Seriously!?
Ok, second verse, same as the first... I go back later that night to get food because it happens to be one of very few places to eat near my house and I'm fat and lazy like that. I order 2 chili cheese dogs on pretzel buns. I see my screen and she doesn't put pretzel buns so I reiterate that I wanted pretzel buns and she says ok. Get my order, get home and guess what, REGULAR buns. SHOCKER!!! This time I didn't bother calling that jerk manager. I just figured I'd leave this online review. Eat there at...
