This location is great. Theyâre fast, kind, and somewhere between fair and generous with quantity of toppings.
What I donât like about Papa Murphyâs is their ârewardsâ program which specific locations can do nothing about, so any negativity in this review is aimed at whoever is responsible for rewards, not this location.
My issues with Papa Murphyâs ârewards.â
Once you have so many visits, you can earn a âreward,â but the reward only works on regular priced menu items and must be used within 30 days. So if you normally buy the specials to save money, then get a reward, you canât use it with orders that only have specials. You can only apply it to regular priced menu items, so you have to change your order or add something you normally wouldnât get, and usually end up spending more to use your âreward.â
Today I went on the app and saw I had a $2 reward (whoop-dee-doo) and had 18 days left to use it, so I ordered two of the $6.99 medium 2-topping pizza specials, then at checkout tried to apply the reward, but got an error message saying the reward was invalid. Sooo⌠whatâs the point?
Hereâs the funny part. You only officially earn the reward once youâve had so many visits. You donât have to make these visits in any specific amount of time, so letâs say you get your reward after 5 visits (I donât know the exact number). You can have 4 visits in a row, then not go for several months. But as soon as you hit that fifth visit, you get your TWO DOLLAR REWARD, that you MUST USE within 30 days, and it CANâT be on any of their current deals or specials.
In the immortal words of Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory, âyou havenât given me a [reward] youâve given me an obligation!â
Either let me use the rewards on specials, let me keep it indefinitely until Iâm ready to make an order that would qualify for this ârewardâ, or just scrap the whole rewards thing altogether. The way it is now is just a pile of...
Read moreWe had a terrible experience at this location today. While we were watching our order being made we realized that it was being done incorrectly. After all we paid for every topping and want to make sure we got what we paid for because this has happened before. When he started to put pepperoni on the fav we noticed there was no sauce on most of the pizza. We asked him to put more on (as the pizza was for our Autistic son) he blamed the girl for not putting on in the first place and continued to put the pepperoni on . My husband ask asked her to remake it and she argued with him saying "IT'S JUST A FAV!" She eventually did it but another costomer got involved and told them to keep doing their jobs.He threatened my husband by saying, "He's asking for it!". He sat and continued to make threatening looks in our direction. This led to an altercation. The stuff at the store...
Read moreAnyone who likes any kind of pizza likes this place. I mean what's not to like?! Excellent pizza selection and customization, fresh ingredients and generally prompt in pizza preparation. Great dessert options and from the vegetarian (sorry vegans) to the meat lover, there is bound to be a pizza for you. Fairly well organized and there's online and phone ordering options to speed up the process. Generally clean interior.
The reason this did not get 5 stars is because the customer service has been hit-and-miss; sometimes friendly and accommodating, other times fickle and abrupt. Depending on who you get at the register, you may have your order exactly right or he met with impatience or have to repeat your order three times etc. Also if you have the gall to request a gluten free pizza, you may be charged $2 extra or $7, I guess it depends on how...
