My husband and I stopped here for lunch, on our way to Mooresville, NC.
Fond of our hometown Chili's in Winston-Salem, we were glad to stop at this Chili's.
Unfortunately, our experience was short and unsatisfactory at this Princeton, WV Chili's.
The reason I am giving only 1 star is because...
The host took us to a dirty table. There was food residue on the corner of the table and in the seat of one who side of the whole of the booth.
The other side of the booth were chairs, as this was a handicap-accessible table.
Only one menu was left on the table.
Before we could say anything about this to the host, he was gone.
When the waiter walked up, I told him I'd like to wait on our drink order, since I didn't know how long we'd be here, meaning at that particular table. He just said, I am sorry and left.
The reason I didn't put in the drink orders is not wanting to cause any trouble with one server having a drink order on their chart, after we were moved to another table that would possibly be in another server's section.
After a minute or two setting there, after the waiter left, my husband and I decided to leave.
Out idea of a nice dining experience was clearly not matching the staff's capabilities at this Princeton, WV Chili's.
In times of a pandemic, where foot traffic is less, and having multiple restaurants in the vicinity as competition, the waiter and host at this Princeton, WV Chili's need to re-consider their actions in running us off.
The Host should have known better to not seat us at a Handicap-accessible table, as we are not handicapped, and this should be reserved for those who need it.
Also, the table and seating area should not have been dirty with food residue. It immediately adds speculation to how well of a job is being done to cleaning the tables in respect to the pandemic.
The Waiter should have been accomodating, as it was his 20% or more tip that walked out. Both the Waiter and the Host appeared to just go through the motions and not even see there was a problem.
Again, in a place where there are multiple restaurants close by, Chili's needs to step up their game.
My husband and I drove 1/16th of a mile and had a really nice steak at a clean, appropriate table with a waiter that was attentive, friendly, and professional.
Hopefully they get their act together, because not only was this Princeton, WV Chili's not very busy, letting dissatisfied customers walk out the door over simple things that could have been fixed, could lead to the doors closing one last time at...
Read moreGreat food.. steaks were cooked perfectly. My husband got medium well and i got medium, and they were cooked exactly the way they should be. We got the 2 for 20 deal with salads(that couldnt be any fresher really) as appetizers, 6oz steak, loaded mashed potatoes (not too strong on the cheese and bacon in them and delicious, i didnt think i would like them cause i dont like flavored mashed potatoes) and broccoli but he replaced his broccoli with cole slaw and of coarse our drinks. also ordered another appetizer to split which were the deep fried pickles. OmG LOOOOVE THEM! They were the best weve ever tried. I also signed up for the chilis rewards and got a free chips and salsa. Yes we ordered a lot, but it made 3 whole meals for us.. it was so fulfilling. And wait, thats not all about our visit. We sat at a little 2 person table, and the waiter was awesome. Kept our drinks filled, always kept a check on us and even offered to help me with my chilis rewards and always had a smile on his face. I also noticed that this place works as a team. Not just our waiter, but all of the workers that passed by, if they seen we needed something, they would make sure to get it. All the workers were busy and running around. Thats what I call good work ethic. I wish i had more to tip than just a dollar but honestly it was my last dollar, but that boy deserved it for his hard work. I dont know who he was, but he needs promoted. This was also on 4/20 at 10pm if that helps tell who it was. If i was the manager and owner, id be proud of my team cause for my first time there, it was amazing and me and my husband both agree that we...
Read moreFood was OK. I wanted a blackened chicken salad, they don't have blackening. Fine. Bartender nice but he overserved a Young guy and I asked them to throw some food in front of him so they threw some French fries but because he said he didn't want them they took them back away. Then he got up and left and I said they couldn't let him leave like that because he couldn't even walk so I went out there and talked to him about 10 minutes. and convinced him to come back And I would buy him a cup of coffee. I told the bartender And he said I got you, and then he never gave him the coffee. Meanwhile my husband went to the manager and said they cannot let this kid leave And so the manager came behind the bar and watched as I brought the guy back in from his car. But again , they never gave him coffee. I was so afraid this kid was going to pull out into traffic And hit somebody or get hit. So as my husband and I kept complaining about how drunk he was, the manager, when The kid went back out to his car again, followed him out. So my husband and I left Thinking they were gonna do something but as soon as we pulled out they let the kid go back to his car. We pulled over to another parking area and watched him pull out onto the Main Street. I have been a bartender for 30 years and you never ever let somebody leave in that condition. I fear the worst for him. So disappointed that this restaurant would get him this intoxicated and then...
