Jersey Mike's — Restaurant in West Virginia

We have been coming out to this location from Ashland for about 3 years. Initially each visit was fantastic and the usual service we’ve come to expect. The last few visits have been frustrating. On a recent visit I was overcharged. The older gentleman who appears to be a manager took care of it but was openly frustrated with his employees. It took a while to fix but I wasn’t overly bothered by it, and as we were walking out he handed me a coupon for a free sub and thanked me for my patience. We returned a couple weeks later to use said coupon and were denied as it had expired the day before. That was fine, what wasn’t fine was how this same gentleman dealt with it. It wasn’t enough to just let us know the coupon had expired, he informed us they had stopped taking the coupons two weeks prior to their expiration and then demanded to know where we’d gotten it and blamed his employees for just giving them to anyone. The quality of the food is great. But I’ve been having problems with the staff. I have been there a few times now and I get the same exact order. I tell them that I want the club supreme with everything on it. To a normal person that would mean that I want the club supreme with all of the toppings on it. They always then ask me if I want it “Mikes way” I’m like no I don’t. Why would I want it Mikes way after just saying I want everything on it? I don’t know Mike. Why would I want it Mikes way? I am not Mike.

Then they proceed to question me over and over again if I am sure that I want everything on it. Like yes bro I want everything on it. I wouldn’t have said I want everything on it if I didn’t. Yes I want the lettuce and tomato and Mayo and the bacon and the pickle and the peppers and the jalapeño and the vinegar and the salt and pepper. Like I’m not asking you to put fish sauce and peanut butter on the sandwich. Stop acting like I am ordering something obscene and make my sandwich “My way” not...

I stop bye this particular jersey mike every trip on my route between Kentucky and Fort Lee Virginia. The food in the service are always great. I wanted to share in above and beyond that really touched me. I dropped my wallet in the parking lot and then proceeded to drive 2 1/2 hours towards Fort Lee. After pulling into the Love station for gas I realized that my wallet was missing. I called the store hoping that it fell out of my pocket and was delighted to find out that The staff at Jersey bike and recovered it. After driving back 2 1/2 hours the staff was so sweet to make me a giant subs sandwich and chips and a drink so that I would be filled up for my drive back from where I came. That was really above and beyond and I will always stop by this jersey mike I’m not trip between Fort Lee in Kentucky. Thank you and God bless everyone at jersey mike!
