My husband and I visited this place today. The service was tremendously slacking. We tried ordering our food with one person serving and other people just standing around watching us wait for our food. One of those people just happened to be a manager. This manager looked at us waiting and kept staring into space like he had no cares in the world. After about 10 minutes of standing and my husband threatening to walk out someone else finally came to help. This was very unprofessional for a restaurant who expects to keep their patrons. After all the wait I was very disappointed at the food. The noodles that we ordered were very soggy from sitting in the steamer. The meat was seasoned well, but unfortunately being seasoned well does not mean that it pairs well with other ingredients. The ingredient options are very limited. Trust me when I say that with the limits you would be better off going somewhere else. If this is the service that you expect to receive from a manager and others that have a job to serve, then I suggest you eat somewhere else. We are very disappointed at this point and have decided that this restaurant will not be an option for us in the future. This is not a rant just facts about our experience. You are free to decide...
Read moreThe quality of the food served and the speed and friendliness of the servers is always second to none. Unfortunately the quantity of food, especially the steak or chicken, varies greatly with whoever happens to be serving you. The quantity seems to have decreased since their opening. The practice of charging extra for an additional scoop of yum yum sauce is also annoying. EDIT 7/14/21- revising this review based upon today's visit. I entered the restaurant at what I believed to be the opening time, only to be told it was too early to order. I glanced at my watch and saw that it was 10:44 AM. They open at 10:45. OK- I'll wait. While waiting, I read signs indicating an additional $1.99 for fried rice and something about an up charge for additional proteins. Five minutes passed, and they were still bringing bowls of food out, and weren't interested in my order. I gave up and went next door, to Penn Station, where they actually WANT your business. Upcharges everywhere, and a lazy staff who can't tell...
Read moreI tried this place based on a couple of recommendations... I am.torn between 3 and 4 stars. The best and most accurate description I saw was asian version of chipotle. That is rather on point, but this place is to Asian food what chipotle is to Mexican food.
I tried the red rice with spicy chicken, but made the mistake of getting the ginger dressing. It tasted more like thousand island with ginger. Blah.
I suppose they do have some taste combinations that work better, and the food I suppose is relatively healthy and inexpensive, but overall not a wow experience for me.
I'll try again another day and see if I can find a mix that tastes...
