I've been slacking and probably should have posted this review ages ago. I have ordered both dine in and take out from Super Red Bowl. Both times the food was fantastic. As an aside I think the portions for soup when dining in might be a big larger but only because Super Red Bowl uses giant bowls.
Getting to the food, my wife loves the dumpling soup. She's right to love it too as it tastes great. The broth is incredibly flavorful and you get tons of dumplings in the soup. I really like the thinly sliced mushrooms in the soup as the mushrooms soak up so much flavor from the soup.
I have also tried a few of the sushi rolls and come away enjoying them. That said none of them are fancy as I tend to default to the spicy salmon or spicy tuna rolls. They are quite tasty and the price is really good on them. I think they have a nice bit of heat but its certainly not overwhelming.
But the best thing to get is one of the bowls. There are chef designed bowls you can order. Some of them are with noodles and some are with rice. But I tend to default to the make your own bowl option. You can choose from 2 different types of rice and I think 4 or 5 different types of noodles. Once the noodle type is chosen head up to the bar at the front of the restaurant and you can then fill up a metal bowl with your choice of meats and veggies. Once those are chosen there's a smaller cup used to pick your sauce selection. I like the teriyaki sauce and the yum sauce. Both are great choices.
The staff here is incredible attentive and on top of things. They refill my water without my even having to ask and check in regularly to make sure you have everything you need.
Overall Super Red Bowl is great. I've never had a bad experience here and its always on my go to list of places to go...
Read moreOur group primarily got sushi, with one person getting the Chicken Soba set bowl, with an appetizer of gyoza.
One thing that became apparent is that the sushi is the real highlight of this restaurant, the specialty Crazy Dragon Roll was delicious and very affordable for the quality and amount you get. Even each Classic Roll ordered, which were half the price and more standard sushi fare, were each of fantastic quality and great on the wallet.
The Chicken Soba was fine, big teriyaki flavors and maybe a bit too sweet, but still quite good, might’ve been better if made as a custom bowl. Gyoza were just like the kind you’d get anywhere, pan fried and served with sauce, a good starter.
We also tried their Mango Lemonade and Brown Sugar Boba Tea. Mango Lemonade came out immediately and was very delicious, big sweet mango flavor offset by a sharp lemonade. The Boba Tea took longer but was also very tasty, with some of the best pearl texture I’ve had in a boba.
Atmosphere of the restaurant was great, very friendly staff and a slightly dim, relaxing vibe. Plenty of seating, with both booths and tables.
For the sizable, satisfying meal it came out to around $15+ per person, which again, for the quality of the sushi, was a great surprise. Would definitely recommend to any person looking for good sushi that wont break the bank...
Read moreAtmosphere- 3 stars- clean with ample seating- tables and booths- some outdoor seating. The booths are showing quite a bit of wear and need some care.
Service- 4 stars- our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food came out fairly fast.
Food- 4 stars- this restaurant serves Chinese cuisine which can be ordered off the menu or you build your own bowl and watch them cooked up your concoction at the Mongolian grill. We ordered off the menu- we started with the Pork Gyoza which was fantastic- some of the best dumplings I have had in a while. We also got the Kung-Pao Chicken bowl and the Szechwan Chicken bowl. Both were really good. Chicken was quality white meat cooked perfectly with a blend of veggies. I liked the Szechwan and the best- had a sweetness with a little bit of a kick. Kung- Pao was very good as well. Definitely stop here if you are a fan of Mongolian grills. ...
