This place has went downhill and is horrible!!We have been going here for years. Yesterday 8-4-16 we decided to go for dinner we have not had Japanese for a while. We walked in and the first thing I noticed was concrete blocks stacked in the fish pond dividing it because they have turtles in it...we all know they eat the fish so there is the blocks. We were sat at a hibachi grill. The carpet was sticky and smelled really bad. We ordered a Morgantown roll, and we got something totally different. The hibachi cook gave my wife rice but she ordered noodles, the guy next to me ordered rice. The cook took her plate and dumped the rice onto his with her chop sticks still in it!!! I ordered fillet and scallop, and the steak was a little bigger that a silver dollar...portions used to be way bigger! All portions were about half of the last time we were there maybe a year ago. Then the waiter really rushed us with the bills. Out bill for two dinners, fillet/scallop, and fillet/shrimp with a roll that was something different than what we ordered was 79.00 before tip! Then the waiter walked around the table and said make sure you tip your waiter and chef! This place is a disaster, we are waiting to go to the new Japanese place they are building up on university town center, we are done with this place! Don't waste your hard...

The food is always delicious, sushi and hibachi. Always very fresh and fast (when we aren't slammed busy). The servers are always very friendly and try their best. I've went out to several places in my life to eat and this is the only place I've ever been to where someone is with you immediately when you come through the doors (other places I always wait at least 5 to 10 mins before I even see a hostess). The bosses are always on top of any complaint we receive and try to take care of it the best they can. With that I'll just say not every restaurant cares as much about their customers as fujiyama does. We take time out of our day to personally respond to customers needs or complaints, even while off the clock. So if anyone feels they have been personally wronged or the issue wasn't responded to the way they feel it should have been, there were definitely some wires crossed. Read moreNormally very pleased with my experience at Fujiyama. Ordered Filet Mignon meal today for carry out along with appetizers. Live 20 minutes away. Got home and shrimp was in the meal. I have a seafood allergy. Phoned the restaurant and man said that he could not delivery new meal and that it was my own fault because it says on the menu that the Filet Mignon comes with shrimp. It does not show this on the online menu. (Please see photo of both online menus available). In addition, the appetizers were still doughy. With tip this meal came to $47.00. I was able to eat the extra side of fried rice and I put the appetizers in the oven to finish cooking. The Filet and fried rice in the meal were disposed of, as I could not take the chance of an allergic reaction. This was a total waste of money.
