I was about to enter the bar, the atmosphere didn’t seem welcoming, it seemed like if I walked thru that doorway I might not walk back out. I went to my hotel and ordered them still because the menu LOOKED appealing. Everything was hot and fresh, the aromas were invigorating and captivating. As I bit into the first wing and as I got past the sauce to the juicy meat underneath, much to my dismay there was no taste no flavor, no even SALT. I thought maybe my taste buds were playing tricks on me or perhaps I had Covid (I would’ve preferred Covid), I ate an additional 2 wings and moved on to what was to be a saving grace, the Mac n Cheese. As I inspected the first scoop of Mac, i could see there was no hope. It smelled cheesy, yet the sight unappealing to say the least. It looked like someone boiled the pasta didn’t drain the water from the pot and just decided to throw cheese on it and called it a side of Mac n Cheese. Needless to say, the Mac n cheese was cheesy and also flavorless(what a talent!) The true saving grace was the cake like cornbread, which I thought was supposed to be more like bread that cake but, at least I ate something. All in all I would never recommend this food to anyone, not even for a dog. A+ for effort but i recommend whoever owns this bar go to experience the night life/restaurants in Boston and watch Bar Rescue with John Taffer. This spot has the potential to bring life to the area but only with the right changes and...
Read moreI do DoorDash for the extra cash and had an order at this “restaurant”/bar. Travel time to get here for me was 18 minutes, closer to 20. When I arrived I was told to knock on the kitchen window. When I did no one was there but a moment later a door to my left opened up and in came what I assume to be the “cook”. I told him jokingly that I was here to pick up a top customers order as I showed him the order on my phone. I couldn’t really make out what he said but he went to go check. He came back out and said the order was never made. Usually I would chalk it up to a mistake, let the customer know and go on about my life. This time was an exception. I don’t like to play people out of their position but this was absolutely unacceptable for this reason: he came in smelling like weed. I’m not a fool, I know what weed smells like. Have inhaled it only for the last 13 years and recently quit. That’s beside the point. The main point is someone didn’t get their order and I wasted my time as well as gas making the trip out just for the order not to be ready because this man wants to be outside smoking weed instead of handling business. I understand that no one really wants to do their jobs, especially if it’s something they do only for the money(no real joy). But this is unacceptable....
