The Knickerbocker Music Center — Restaurant in Westerly

Went there for my buddy’s benefit show and remember why I don’t go here. Music was great but good grief with the drink prices and service! A vodka soda and an Octoberfest beer was $16!!! Replace the beer with a jack and coke and it’s $17. Spent $40 on 5 drinks. Took FOREVER to get service. You wait and wait and wait annnnnddddd........wait. I worked in bars for 8 years. I’m sorry but the bartenders are not with the program. My father who quit drinking years ago was there to show support and he was blown away by the fact that it took 15 min for someone to acknowledge him standing at the bar. And it wasn’t 2 or 3 ppl deep at the bar either. Sorry this is why I don’t go here. Those bartenders could learn a thing or to by watching how the guys at Danny’s work on a steady night. Hidden gem in my eyes. Everyone loves live music, but the supercell here is the great drinks and fantabulous food! Hands down best cheeseburger 🍔 and fries 🍟 in Rhode Island. I’m not kidding. Ever place that spends the money to serve their French fries in that stand up metal ice cream cone shaped thing w the wax paper is a winner every time. The people here are spot to be working here and it’s almost like they read The Secret before every shift in a circle ask them chant some live incantations. Drove 45 minutes to have dinner with my grandmother to find out I wasn't welcome in the restaurant because I'm not vaccinated (I was wearing my mask) and was told by a rather rude hostess "you should be vaccinated" I sat in my car while my grandma ordered food and we ate outside...the burger that I ordered medium rare was so rare that it was still mushy... terrible experience with...
