Hilltop Café — Restaurant in Westerly

Waited 10-25 min for the waiter to take our orders, then 30+ mins for sandwiches, finally got the food when my friend went up to ask the waiter. The bread was soggy on one side and the meat didn't taste seasoned at all, if it was busy I would've understood but there was only 3 other tables. 2 groups were at the bar and it seemed like the waiter was more focused there. There was also no drink menu but we both got sodas and it came in small plastic cups that weren't even filled fully, when we got the receipt it was $3.50 each which I think is ridiculous since it was not only small but tasted like there was water in it and I never got asked if I wanted any refills. The waiter never came to check up on us once while we were eating and half way through eating our cups were empty. And I also think y'all should clean the bathrooms cuz when I was washing my hand there were pieces of black slimy things that just slipped out from behind the faucet and into the sink... And when we got the check we asked for seperate checks but the waiter was like 'well it's basically the total divided by two...' ok well I only had cash my friend only had card I don't understand why a restaurant would not be able to get seperate checks but whatever we won't come back again. This is literally my first time giving a bad review I would give 1 star but the waiter was ok the other times I guess and the fries were ok but not seasoned at all I had to sprinkle salt...

The stars are for the pizza, usually it’s really great, there’s a few times where the consistency wavers but it’s our go-to for pizza. Writing this review because this is the second tome we’ve had rude service when picking up our order- the first time was when my husband went a few weeks ago and the second time was with me today, 6/11-whoever the slim young woman with dark hair and features and all black on is- she has a bad attitude, and when I described her to my husband he knew exactly who I was talking about because he said he had a similar encounter. She doesn’t speak to you unless you speak to her, when you go inside she looks at you like your bothering her despite there being one couple in the entire room. I had a mask on so I don’t know what her problem was. I told her I was there to pick up an order to which she just stared at me. So I repeated myself and gave my name to which she disappeared and came back with the bill (still has said nothing to me) and then takes my card and returns with the pizzas. I left feeling annoyed, there are plenty of other places to do business where you at least...

Got there to pick up order had to wait another 15 minutes for order place is full of smoke from kitchen loud blasting music. Got Shepard’s pie which is mashed potatoes, corn and Hamburg. The potatoes where not mashed they where chunks of potatoes they had a meatloaf dinner and the hamburger in the Shepard’s pie was chunks looked like they used the meatloaf for it also the Hamburg had a weird taste didn’t end up eating afraid of food poisoning. My wife’s dinner was suppose to have a salad totally no salad in bag when got home she didn’t eat hers due to funny taste also she also had French onion soup which was horrible suppose to have bread and cheese in French onion soup and nothing in it Needless to say spent a lot of money ($75) on horrible food that could not eat.
