Anthony-Thomas Candy Shoppe — Restaurant in Westerville

I always like to support my local chocolatier, so now that I live in central Ohio, I had to visit the Anthony-Thomas store in Westerville. What a great place for those of us with sweet teeth! You'll find it hard to decide what to buy and what to leave behind.

They have chocolates in all shapes and sizes, but also non-chocolate items (sours, jelly beans, etc.). I grabbed two chewy pralines to eat on the way home and they were delicious! Just as good as the ones I buy every year from Lammes Candies in Texas.

I also bought two boxes of assorted chocolates, one for me and one to mail to a friend. These also were delicious and definitely an assortment of light and dark chocolates, nuts, toffees, etc. My only quibble: I wish they had a chart or map in the box to tell me what was what. That way, once I'd picked one or two favorites, I could get a whole box of those on my next visit. And there will be...

I come in to this place all the time, love Anthony Thomas. The women working tonight was rude, I asked her to look up my account and she lied and said she couldn't do it. I was in here a week ago and the women did it for me. She told me she can add points but can't look up a coupon, okay you can look up my account for points but not a coupon.. Last time I will come in this store, I will go to any other store just not the Westerville location. She also seemed mad that I came in 45 minutes before closing. I just had a wonderful experience at Anthony Thomas here in Westerville. The lady behind the counter was so courteous and kind and did such a wonderful job filling my small box of toffee, half dark, half milk chocolate and wrapped it with care.... I didn't get her name, but she had kind of fluffy hair and was very sweet... Yes, the shop was busy but she went the extra mile to make my experience the best, including giving me a paper to pay with while she wrapped my purchase....
