McDonald's — Restaurant in Westfall Township

McDonald’s is the epitome of familiarity with so many locations across the world. With this in mind, this is THE worst fast food experience I’ve ever had. I ordered food through the drive thru and the lady taking my order was very devoid of life and would have gotten my order wrong if I had not kept repeating myself. When I got up to pay, I was not offered my receipt and I had to ask the pay window and the cash window for my receipt. When I went to receive my food, I was encountered with a lax, male worker who was not even wearing any variation of their uniform or even his name tag. For context, a part of my order was two hot fudge sundaes. He told me that there was no more fudge and was going to give me my sundaes with no fudge. A part of my order were 40 McNuggets and I made it clear that I wanted Sweet and Sour sauce, and low and behold, there were no sauces in my bag. The manager was the only person in this establishment that cared about her customers, giving me my sauces and when she went to check behind the counter, they had enough fudge for one sundae. Here to give credit where credit is due! As most people I have been to McDonald’s all over the country. I spent a couple hours shopping at Walmart and hunger struck! Conveniently in the parkinglot was a McDonald’s. I hit the drive through with very low expectations. Was immediately greeted with a very patient person on the speaker. Placed my order, pulled around, and was greeted kindly with a welcoming smile. Payed for my order and pulled up to the next window to be greeted again, by yet ANOTHER very kind person. Very sweet A - game customer service.

Now to the food! We all have memories of fresh fries, hot burgers, and crispy soda. I’ve sadly grown comfortable with the under par quality from Monticello, Ellenville, etc. but not here… not at the McDonald’s in Matamoras, PA in the Walmart parking-lot. Everything was hot, fresh, and salted exactly how I like. I wish the other owners surrounding kept up the same quality of customer service and food. Sooooo glad I stopped! If I could rate 0 I would, I always have issues with this place and they never get my order right. But I am a genuine nice person and I’m always polite and even leave tips. But I’m completely disgusted with the way I was treated this morning. At the very first second I pulled up to the window the lady wouldn’t let me finish talking. I was trying to order a coffee and she cut me off immediately and basically ordered my coffee for me. And on top of that, none of our coffees (I ordered three) were made right. I asked light and sweet (I have low blood sugar) and they were very dark brown and had absolutely no sugar what so ever. And the coffee was burnt as well (which idk how bc it was iced coffee). My entire coffee was filled with coffee grinds, in the coffee itself and all over the cup. And they asked us to pull forward to get our hash browns because they were “being freshly made” but when we got them they were ice cold and tasted like the fish filet.
