German Doner Kebab — Restaurant in Westfield

I went there to grab a quick byte with my son, we both took advantage of the self service kiosk to place our order since we didn't see anyone playing the role of cashier. We ordered a Doner Box, The Original sandwich and the spring rolls.

It was obvious that it was an all hands on deck type of situation in the kitchen.

35 minutes later we got our food (and there were only a couple of customers ahead of us). Everything we tried was good, the only thing that we didn't account for was the fact that the spring rolls were dripping fat :P plus the fact that they were too spicy (hot) for my taste, but nothing that a bottle of water couldn't help ease.

My only advice is to be patient if you want to try their food, we witnessed a lot of unhappy customers and a lot of chaos going on in the kitchen.

**Speed is not their strength so go there with the assumption that you are going to be there...

Not worth the wait. From ordering to receiving, our order of 1 Original Main and 1 Doner Box took a whopping 1 HOUR 7 MIN. No explanation at all for the wait, other than “it’s coming” and a rather cold attitude. We noticed many frustrated customers tonight, with one group getting fed up and asking for a refund while another lady got into an argument with one of the employees. Unfortunately it didn’t even seem like the restaurant was that busy.

Food was okay. They were out of all meats except for chicken at 6pm (which seems odd, because it’s pre-dinner rush and they were already out of meat?). Also, for some reason the chicken reminded me more of rotisserie chicken instead of kebab meat.

I wouldn’t come back due to the slow service. If they can sort out their operations, maybe I’ll consider trying this spot again next year but it definitely won’t be somewhere I’d think of...

Came for dinner around 6pm with my small group of friends. We simply ordered a main each and fries to share, and after an hour wait we still don’t have all our food. They have a whole team in the kitchen, it’s clear they’re lost and just standing around, but they made no effort to explain the issue to customers and acted like everything was normal. Several other dine-in and takeout customers went up to the counter to complain, and ended up getting a refund then leave. I really wanted to like this place, but won’t be coming back and can’t recommend this to others until they sort out these issues.

Final verdict: 1 hour 15 mins for all the food, chicken “kebab” was more like rotisserie chicken and not freshly shaved thin crispy pieces off the grill (got chicken because they were out of beef kebab before the dinner rush even started). It was still a 1 star experience...
