UPDATE: I just wanted to share my latest experience at Farinolio since my initial review. I've now attended at least 4 or 5 vegan cooking classes since my original review and I can only reiterate what I said before. The food is always outstanding but meeting and getting to know the other guests and cooking together is really the highlight. And this is because the atmosphere is warm and welcoming right from the start, thanks to Chef Laura and staff (in addition to Laura, Chef Margherita was at the last event which made the experience even more fun! I hope Margherita comes back one day!). It really is no exaggeration to say that I feel like we're a family as we cook together in the kitchen. I already just booked another cooking class next month and I can't wait to go!
It goes without saying that I continue to enjoy their vegan schiacciata during the day when I'm in the neighborhood! (last time I was there, they were sold out but they graciously made one fresh for me.😋)
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had lunch here after hearing they had vegan options. And I was glad I did. I had a schiacciata (peperonata, I think it was called) and a croissant to go. Everything was great, but that schiacciata was outstanding! I'm getting hungry again writing this review. Upon paying, they let me know that there would be a vegan cooking class/dinner in a couple of weeks so I signed up for that.
Regarding the cooking class, it was so much fun! After eating a variety of fantastic antipasti to start off, we went back into the kitchen to prepare the butternut squash gnocchi ourselves, following the expert guidance of Laura, who instructed us not only in the food preparation but also in speaking Italian. The whole evening was so enjoyable. Not just the food but the warm, friendly atmosphere which was due in no small part to how well everything was organized and presented by Laura and the staff. I'll surely sign up for the next vegan event.
In the meantime, I'll continue to drop by whenever I'm in the area. Highly...
Read moreI came to this place looking to try out their pastries since I saw the reviews and everything looks scrumptious. I went in yesterday around 2pm in the afternoon and as soon as I came in I was greeted by a employee named Yara (I think that was her name) she was so nice and friendly made me feel welcomed and I told her it was my first time there so she decided to give me a whole history behind Farinolio. She was so knowledgeable about everything and suggested to try their different food options. Like I mentioned in the beginning, I wanted to try out their pastries and when I came in they had already sold out on half of the options which is understandable, because Yara had mentioned they make everything from scratch in the morning and most of their food gets sold out in the morning. Regardless of it I decided to try the ones they did have in stock which was the blueberry muffin, sfoglia allá crema, bombolone, torta caprese, and a variety of cookies. Everything was amazing!! I loved that they have samples to try before you buy the whole thing. Definitely recommend trying this place out! They are also gonna be opening a new location in summit (if I’m not wrong). Hands down gotta come back in the morning to try all their pastries variety and some of their other...
Read moreI love this place. My brother and I found it through a Google search. When we walked in, we were greeted by the most wonderful person, Ms Barbara. Hands down the best customer service and she is just as sweet as pie. Ask her to make you a Cappuccino or a hot chocolate with a shot of expresso. I will admit, we did get greedy and order a bunch of things for our family but it was worth it. We had a nice spread at home of the different things we bought and everyone loved it. The atmosphere was nice, clean and very welcoming. Ok now for what we ordered, one of each sandwich they had that day (5 different kinds and from what I was told they change daily), croissants (2 different kinds), cookies (4 kinds), donuts (2 kinds), egg sandwiches (2 kinds), biscotti (I hope that is what they are called and we had all the kinds they have), and more. Don't judge us...LOL 🤣 we had a lot of people visiting at home. I would totally go back and recommend that you go as well. Ask for Ms Barbara and she'll take good care of you. Tell her Tonya and...
