MOCHIMOLY — Restaurant in Westfield

Went to this place yesterday evening with couple friends. Macaroons looked pretty, so we inquired if there were eggfree or vegan options due to allergies. We were told the macaroons with the leaf next to them on menu were eggfree and we can have them. After having them something didn’t feel right, we emailed the company that was mentioned on the packaging only to learn that the macaroons weren’t eggfree or vegan. Thankfully it wasn’t a life threatening allergy but would have been better if we were just turned away if the ingredients weren’t clear. We had gotten one dozen thinking we could have them and share them, unfortunately had to throw them away, which was a waste of money. It might be a good idea to put allergens or ingredients on the menu so this doesn’t happen to anyone...

I came here from just roaming the area, decided to give them a try and don’t regret it at all. Great atmosphere and lively employees. The food was well prepared and didn’t take too long to come out. The quality of their mochi donuts was very well made and not too sweet. I happened to get the Cheetos corn dog and my friend got the potato one, amazing texture, not greasy and very delicious, funny enough I got the cheese and beef half and half, and surprisingly the cheese was so good I would’ve been happy with just that. I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this place in Westfield. Unfortunately, it was one of the most unfriendly places I have ever encountered. The person at the register made no effort to explain the menu and only showed it to us after we had already made our decision. Shockingly, he then informed us that half of the items were unavailable, leaving us with limited options from the tray. Adding to the frustration, he didn't even bother pulling the tray down for my child and me to see. It was a clear lack of consideration and customer service.
