CINCO DE MAYO MEXICAN RESTAURANT AND BAR — Restaurant in Westminster

It’s unfortunate because I really liked this restaurant the first time I visited. Over the weekend after apple picking a few friends and I stopped by. Excited to return I couldn’t remember the name of a previous drink but was able to describe it and the waitress (can’t remember her name) helped me pick it. When me and my friend chose it, it didn’t taste the same and we didn’t like it. We asked to replace them. We decided to get the Millionaire Margarita instead. When we told the waitress she said to us in an unkind way “are you sure you want that it’s really expensive?” We were shocked that she would say this. I’ve never had someone question my ability to pay. Since no prices are listed on the drink menu I asked how much the drink was and she said $30. We told her to proceed. When our new drinks arrived, I believe the manager came over and checked to see if we liked the drinks and they were perfect.

We were still upset about the statement she had made but went on to enjoy the meal. At the end the check came and each of us were charged $39 for our drink. That is significantly more than $30. We decided to just pay it. As we exited the restaurant another member of our party asked a staff person how much the Millionaire Margarita cost and she was told $30 plus tax. Our waitress overcharged us on purpose. This left a bad taste in my mouth and I will NOT be returning. First time and last time Service was terrible, slow uninformed and not caring server at all. We ordered 3 appetizers to start and they never gave us plates to be able to share the food, could not find the server to help us. Also guacamole is advertised "Prepared at your table" IT IS NOT, the bus boy will bring it to your table already made. Nothing was cleared from our table, I had to stack all the empty appetizer plates on top of each other so I can make room for our dinner plates, even when our dinner was served no one attempted to clear the stacked plates, no water nor soda refills were offered, nor my wife or myself could order another drink because no one came back to check on us. The food is average, The Ultimate Fajita which I ordered looked so good on their website but what they offered me was mediocre, the steak was full of gristles with big pieces of fat on top on the plate and looked like shredded beef not as what they advertise as slices steak. It seems that management was absent there because, employees were on their phones in the dinning room, some are sitting at the bar watching TV and others just go outside from a door next to our table and not paying attention to what is going on. Did not want to make a scene just paid my check that I waited over 20 minutes to get after we finished and left. Anyways, I could go on but need to stop. This place typcally has just ok food, but its one of the few Mexican food places around. The serious problem is they have VERY poor customer service. My family and I went there for a birthday celebration and one of us ordered the avocado and chicken salad. We have all been here before and ordered this salad. What they brought this time was not the normal salad....or even a normal salad of any type. It had a few pieces of lettuce and then a bunch of finely chopped broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and kale. No salad dressing at all. It resembled Cole slaw without dressing, with some dried up chicken on top. The family member tried to eat it and finely said it was just mushy and wierd and tasted horrible. She had tried to not make a fuss. When we told the waiter, he checked with the kitchen and came back and said, " the cook said he made it same way he always does"...and walked away. We called the manager over and explained, he said he couldn't do anything about it. So...$18 for a soggy mess of chopped vegetables that didn't get eaten.
