Jessi from Freestyle organized the hair and makeup team for our wedding. She literally saved the day with her talented team, affordable pricing, and availability for my date! My (bride) hair was done by Rachel Makowski and my makeup was done by Lauren R. (who I don't think actually works at Freestyle). Bridesmaid hair and makeup was done by Colleen Hughes and Melissa. (And Rachel and Lauren also did some bridesmaid hair and makeup). Colleen did makeup for my mother and aunt. I was very impressed with the whole team. They showed up on time and stuck to schedule and everyone looked lovely. Melissa worked some magic with some thin hair. Lauren, Jessi, and Rachel also ensured I got exactly what I wanted. Rachel did a 2nd trial for me and Jessi brought Lauren onto the team after I wasn't in love with my first trial with another artist. Lauren R. was amazing in making sure my trial was just right and she took notes for all the colors and shades used and reminded me the night before about the stuff I was responsible for bringing (personal pick for lips and brows). My husband took my son to get a haircut, with a picture in tow, my son was excited. However, on his return he was not happy. I do not blame him. The stylist, I think the name was Nikita or something, destroyed his hair. He was pretty much bald on the sides and back of the head, there was not even a 1/4 inch left. He did have hair on top of his head, she cut that shorter too, but it was not as short as the rest of his hair. He looks absolutely ridiculous!! The thing is, the picture was of someone with longer hair, which he had been growing out his hair for. Now, he is going to have to start over and go to school looking like a real loser, all because she could not do her job. Needless to say, I called and spoke to the manager. She told me that I could bring my son in and they can see if there is anyway to fix his hair, or he can come in again for a new haircut for free, next time. The lady who did my hair was really nice but I’m just overall pretty disappointed with the outcome. I asked for a golden blond cut and color. Naturally I have shiny brown hair with some natural blond highlights. A golden blond wouldn’t look too offset from my natural color. I even had some pictures that I showed her. I got a sort of pale blond balayage that isn’t what I asked for. When I told the lady I had hoped for a little darker and more of a golden blond at the end she told me that what she put was golden blond and it’s really not. It still looked cute though so I was planning on just waiting it out until my hair had enough of a rest to get it redone. Then I got in the car and noticed that she barely touched the underside of my hair. So now I have light blond on the surface contrasting a brown underneath. So now I have to pay to go get my hair fixed somewhere else on top of what I payed to get my hair color botched here.
