It is easy to understand why the Spanish in Mexico were among the first to develop agriculture. You'd think we'd have more of these grills /restaurants in our supposed AGRICULTURAL county but instead we have to suffer with places like Baughers and there slop. When I say these I am not speaking of the TEX MEX ( Texan / Mexican ) foods tailored to American folk. That being said the staff is dry and there is an unwelcome presence but I can only imagine why they may feel this way. Feeling a little akward I didn't ask either I just ordered. My opion upon walking in was this is the cleanest resturant in our county and wow what an amazing menu. I was waiting and just like in Mexico the gals were happy amongst themselves singing and laughing with one another. I am feeling that some may think the menu is a little pricey but remember it's not Mickey D's but their bill would be close with the quantity and quality of being farless. This restaurant will make you feel as though you've gotten your money's worth. The service was quick and respectful. I got home and wow my thought upon taking out the burrito was this thing is huge it's heavy how much does it weigh? So I had to weigh it and my only options was an old ww scale or the egg scale. I could only weigh half my scale couldnt handle the weight it was 13.5 Oz that's a 27 Oz burrito gotta luv it and no NO it was not all rice or refried beans with a thick bread. Try to keep in mind a pound is 16 Oz. I didn't even have to weigh the quensadilla I was satisfied and trusted it would hold its on on the weight aswell. The authenticity was true mesoamerican not the Mayan or Aztecs but not far off the beating path from it. So if you want true Mexican Cuisine this should be your go to. The folks out there who want there money's worth better check out this place you'll feel all to satisfied giving them your cash. If your the TEX MEX type this is not your spot but you may find that it is so much better minus the American. Mexican food is one of the best culinary experiences. I only wish I had asked about their sweets. This place is the best Mexican restaurant so far I haven't tried alot on the menu YET but I can only imagine what they have in store for my ever craving taste buds for good Mexican food with out traveling afar. GREAT JOB GALS KEEP up with the quantity and the quality of your food straight out of your...
Read moreThis "Mexican" Restaurant is Very Nice!!! Tucked away in a back alley next to a Laundrymat, this Small yet Cozy spot is a real "Hidden Gem" in the Country Town of Westminster. Even with being so secluded, the town folk have found this spot & it is seeing a steady stream of "Hungry Customers" coming in & "Satisfied Believers" walking out.... slowly :) Just to set the record straight....I COUNTED 9 TABLES in this joint!!! The Kitchen is visible & seems very busy!! The young Latina who took my order was "stunned" when I spoke to her in spanish!! (I think I look too much like an American!) This place had a Very Mixed Crowd (Young, Old, Blacks, Whites, Latinos etc) & that was totally fine with me....being a "Hyperpolyglot" (Google it)!! You need to order & pay for your Food 1st @ the front counter, then go seat yourself. The Tables were Clean but you have to get your Plastic Utensils yourself or ask (preferably in Espanol) for them to bring them to you "Por Favor". I read reviews of how the service is slow but we waited less than 10 mins for an order for 3 & a to go order for 6. I found this place on Google/Yelp when I typed in Pupusas in Westminster. I understand that this is supposedly a Mexican Restaurant.....but Pupusas draw a large crowd so I don't blame the amigos!! (They spell it "Popusas" here for some reason). The Price was VERY RESONABLE (Cheap actually). The Pupusas came out "PIPPING HOT"!!! I MEAN HOT!!! (I ordered 3 different kinds....Queso, Revueltas & Loroco....Revueltas was the Table Favorite HANDS DOWN!!!) The Curtido was OK & the Red sauce was a little too runny but again, expected from a non-El Salvadorean Restaurant. The Fresh Tamarindo Drink was good but also a little watered down. (They also had Fresh Horchata, Fresh Sangria, A couple Refrigerators with Bottled & Canned Drinks & a Soft Drink (Soda) Machine. I tried for my 1st time the dessert called "Flan"....I'll pass!!! All in All, this spot is Nice, Comfy & serves PIPING HOT MEALS!!! (one of my buddies had the Carne Asada Burrito & said it was GREAT!!!) I RECOMMEND THIS NICE LITTLE JOINT FOR ANYONE LOVING MEXICAN....BUT....IF YOU WANT THE ORIGINAL TRUE AUTHENTIC PUPUSAS....YOU NEED TO HEAD FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY!!!! (Gaithersburg, Wheaton, Takoma Park, Langley Park, Silver Spring, Rockville etc.) Try it out....YOU'LL...

Worst experience in my life. First off- no prices on the menu! We ordered 4 street (tiny) tacos & a kids cheese quesadilla (literally a small tortilla folded- only made 2 small pieces) & 2 drinks cost $30! Whatever, overpriced but I paid, no complaints. We sit & wait for 30 min and are given stale chips and some sort of store bought salsa microwaved (watched them literally dump it from a jar & warm it in microwave) When the food came I asked for 1 red & 1 green taco hot sauce & the lady literally scoffed, stomped & acted offended I would ask her to do her job. She comes back throws the green sauce on the table and starts to walk away. I asked again for a red sauce & was rudely told I can only have 1 sauce. I said I wanted both and then she says I have to pay for it. At this point I’m livid, the food is expensive, the chips are stale, the tacos were bland & the carne asada meat was chewy, the only decent part were the tortillas; the quesadilla ended up being inedible due to being extremely soggy- literally soggy wet tortilla with cheese. I spent 30$ for disgusting food and a horrible service. I could handle bad food it happens, but the service was so bad, the staff were SO rude I had to leave a review to warn others. Do NOT eat here do not waste your money. Go across the street to Papa Joes at least their service is nice and respectful. I would give this place 0 stars if possible!...
