This is actually the third iteration of the Westminster Skatepark. The original park was blue and metal, but it was rusted and falling apart. It was replaced by a wood park which was made by the local career and tech center, but the wood rotted and it fell apart quickly. That park was then replaced by this concrete park, which is nice, but I actually preferred the design of the wooden park. The bowl in this concrete version is very small, and while the street section is nice, it can be kind of a crash fest on busy days. Read moreBeen skating this park for 2 years now. The condition of the ramps are good and the ground is smooth. Yes, the size of the park is a bit small and can get crowded quickly. I do wish there was a mini ramp because the bowl is too quick in one direction and too long in the other but the other ramps and features are great and make up for it. The local crowd are a great bunch of guys from all ages and backgrounds. Everyone gets along with a welcoming vibe. I give props to the Citadel Skate Foundation for I feel they are a big part in the success...
Read moreAlthough being a little narrow, the park has a good variety of clean lines to run and a decent bowl at the top, but since everything is so close and straight, you have to wait a bit on busy days for some obsticals to clear. Overall it's a solid park, with some cool people to meet and learn from.
