Was hoping for average/slightly above average Italian with the 4.5 star review average. Expectations were certainly not met. For starters we had fried calamari, and the calamari was significantly undercooked and chewy (98% sure it’s frozen). Next we had the salads, I had the house salad (they didn’t have Italian dressing) and it had some assorted leaves in it and was completely tasteless, my SO had a Cesar salad (3 dollar upcharge) and it was decent so we ate her tiny little salad together. Next we had the main course which I couldn’t try to pronounce if I wanted to Mettochinara Con Vodka probably is close enough to the real word if you shout it at the staff they will know what you want haha. The meal was ok - I added chicken which was an up charge and the chicken was bland and tasteless. I’d say it was almost good enough for 2 stars on the review but the vodka sauce was sub par and the sweet peas were bland. We concluded the meal with Creme Brûlée which isn’t hard to get right you basically just dump sugar on top and torch it... that was probably the best part 8/10 certainly not the best but not horrible.
Luckily we had gift cards and this was not my own hard earned money or I’d have went back in and complained. I didn’t feel like I had unreasonable expectations and this...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant with my daughter, and unfortunately, I was not very impressed. For starters, the location of the restrooms was a bit off-putting—the women’s restroom and the employees' restroom are right in the dining room, and we were seated just 3-4 feet away from the women’s restroom.
The food itself was underwhelming. The bread served up front was bland, and the appetizer mozzarella sticks seemed pre-made, not fresh or made in-house. My daughter ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, which she said was okay but nothing remarkable. I had the chicken parmigiana, and while the sauce was good, the spaghetti that came with it was overcooked and chewy. I'd rate the dish a 6/10—not bad, but certainly not memorable.
To cap it off, the tiramisu was disappointing. It was dry, and the base layer lacked the moisture and richness you’d expect from a classic tiramisu.
Given the cost, I expected better quality and flavor overall. While I’m glad I finally tried this place after living in Westminster for eight years, I don’t see myself returning...
Read moreWe recently tried Paradiso, after hearing it was under new ownership, it use to be a great place, that is no longer the case. The service is horrible our waitress was clueless, she came back 3 times to ask what drink my sister in law had ordered. The food was horrible , tasteless and one of the dishes you could not tell that the shrimp were even shrimp they certainly didn't taste like it. The food was nothing like it use to be,the portions were small and the rest of the food was basically tasteless . There was 3 of us and we got exactly 3 pieces of bread not exactly generous for the cost of the food there. The atmosphere was very noisy we were on the first floor and the employees kept dropping dishes into the container near our booth very loudly. We definitely will not be back and I advise people to think carefully before you waste your money on a place that is no longer a nice restaurant. There are much better places in Westminster to go for...
