Jim's Burger Haven — Restaurant in Westminster

This place has really gone downhill. Used to by my favorite burger joint in the area, now I can't even place an order because the staff is trying so hard to get out of work early. I get off work at 715 usually, and try and hustle over for a solid cheeseburger occasionally, recently, the night crew tries going to extraordinary lengths to not serve me and my coworkers. Today, as we entered, the last working the shake machine told us the "grill was broken so we can only do fried things." Not being the first time something like this has happened, I pushed back and was like are you serious, there no signs up indicating that, only to have another employee chime in to agree. At this point, I said okay, I understand what's going on here, you just don't want to get the grill dirty by making our food. So I left. Then, I realized that if i was a general manager, I'd want to know how my sketchy night crew is ruining my reputation in the community. So I went back in and asked for the GMs name, to which they ALL started yelling at me that they never said that and that they told me the shake machine was broken and they were out of fish, neither of which I asked about. It's rare to be gaslit by 5 burger employees, but I seem to have achieved it this evening somehow. I told them no, that wasn't the case, they know exactly what they were doing, and they were changing their story because they hadn't simply scared me and my pal away. I really hope the management team does something about these people in the evenings. They're really ruining a good thing. I've seen several other people have this issue as well and in other reviews, so it's gotta change or they're gonna run out...

Have loved the location in Thornton, but this was a totally different experience. I can excuse the long wait due to being the dinner rush, but we were left standing at the counter after the folks in front of us ordered without any word from the girl running the register to indicate she'd have a prolonged absence. My husband and I stood for 5-10 minutes waiting for her to return to take our order. When she did return, she was still conducting other business and didn't offer any acknowledgement to say something like "I'll be right with you."

Placing our order, I inquired about one of the items (what kind of cheese is in the cheese curds) and was met with the girl simply shrugging her shoulders to express she did not know. No offer to go find out. Ok, fine, I'll order it bc you can't go wrong with fried cheese, right? We placed our order and she read it back and all of the toppings for our burgers were incorrect. We corrected her, and she "fixed" the errors and printed our receipt. Still all wrong. Including the fact that we ordered one of the burgers as a combo, which was non-existent.

I wrote the corrections on the receipt and handed it back to her (deciding to forgo the combo as the transaction was already completed), thinking maybe she couldn't quite hear over the noise of the busy kitchen and the plexiglass between us. The ticket was given to someone in the back and he was directing another employee of the needed changes. Shame on me for not checking my order before I left because lo and behold, it was still wrong when I opened my food at home.

We had a horrible experience tonight We arrived 15 minutes before closing, although we didn't know it at the time. No one bothered to say anything when we ordered. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and then we were rudely told we couldn't eat in the dining room. We had both ordered bacon on our burgers, which of course they charged us for. We overheard them telling a customer before us that they were out of bacon. They didn't say anything to us when they handed us our order. We immediately checked and of course no bacon. We asked them about it and the "manager" just said they were out. Didn't even offer to refund the charge.

Our fries were burnt likely because they were refried due to the rest of the order taking so long and the one drink we ordered was completely watered down, warm, and with no ice in it because it had been sitting so long waiting on the food. We watched three other people walk back in because they didn't get the bacon they ordered and the staff never said anything until they came back inside.

The burgers are usually very good here but the service is horrible and much slower than it should take. Burger patties as thin as theirs would take no more than 8 minutes to cook from frozen, 4-5 minutes max if fresh. Fries and onion rings should only take 3-4 minutes from frozen depending on oil temp. That's all we ordered, 2 burgers, fries, and onion rings. Yes there were people in front of us waiting on their orders but not enough to warrant...
