So my friend and I initially went to the taqueria across the street and left immediately after receiving the worst service in the world. We were so glad we came across this place instead because the service and the food were AMAZING! If you check in, you get a free plate of chips and guacamole :) I'm super picky about my chips and the ones served here were warm and crispy, just how I like them.
I ordered the fish burrito and my friend just had the Spanish rice. I seriously don't know if I'll go anywhere else for my fish burritos now because I was super impressed with the fish burrito here. The batter was crispy, juicy, and super packed with flavor. The filling inside the burrito complimented the fish well. Overall, it was a 10/10.
My friend said her Spanish rice was delicious and WAY better than the one compared to the taqueria across the street.
They have a wide selection of food here including Korean tacos, fish tacos, and they even serve beer! You don't really find those options at any other taqueria. They also have delivery service and deliver until 5am on ubereats. If you're a homebody like I am, this is the perfect place to get delivery from on Grubhub or even directly on yelp.
Oh yeah, did I mention the horchata was amazing as well?! I'll definitely be back here for some late night eats and to get my beloved fish burrito. Forget the taqueria across the street and give this place a try instead! I have no idea why this place isn't just crowded...
Read moreWe were craving tacos and dropped by after yelping what's nearby. We couldn't find it at first but later realized it was because it's tucked into the corner of the Chevron and Donut Shop plaza. Parking was easy to find. We saw they have a Taco Tuesday $.75 with purchase of a large drink and Wednesday $6 burrito deal going on.
We ordered korean bbq tacos, Chile relleno, and lengua nachos.
The Korean BBQ taco option surprised me since you don't normally see that in a traditional taqueria. We were craving them so ordered three and they were bomb! The tacos were standard sized and stuffed with meat. The meat was very well flavored with seasoning and topped with cilantro and sesame seeds. This was my favorite dish. Highly recommend!
The chile relleno plate was saucy and cheesey and a generous portion! The dish even came with a side of tortillas to go with it. There was a delicious amount of egg and the cheese was stringy and satisfying in the chile. The chile wasn't spicy at all, which is perfect for my taste since I can't handle spice very well. The beans and rice were delicious and well flavored.
The lengua nachos were good and came with a good amount of lengua, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. We asked for extra sides of green and red salsa which paired really well with the nachos and brought out the flavor. The salsas weren't that spicy, which was just right for my taste, again, since I can't...
Read moreI happened to find this little Mexican treasure after coming back from Los Angeles with a friend. When I walked through the door I was impressed with the color photos of the many authentic regional Mexican dishes. I chose the Tres Tacos Platter with a free drink and had them make one pollo, one carne asada and another pork carnitas. The salsa on top of all three tacos had a kick to it and was caliente, but had a wonderful, unique flavor. The beans were homemade and delicious just like the rice that went with it.
I was very impressed with how much "punch" this small restaurant can pack into every bite I tasted. Later I met Carlos the owner and Executive Chef and saw the passion he has for cooking, serving quality food and the joy he gets from seeing people come in and enjoy themselves.
By all means, this place may not be the most fancy restaurant, but a family can come here for a quality meal and have money to...
