The Original Chubby’s Mexican Food — Restaurant in Westminster

It will be super awesome when this place opens its dining room for dining in, there's nothing like being able to enjoy some Chubby's fresh and hot from the kitchen.

Aside from that, I have found that this Chubby's tends to go a little heavier on the sauce they smother the burritos with, and it isn't dry and think like the other locations, it's authentic, soupy, and full of flavor. I love when I can have enough sauce for every bite instead of wishing I had more. Please don't ever change that, it's literally the reason why I drive out of my way to go to this very particular location.

I find it interesting that I overhead what seemed to be an owner talking about wanting all the POS systems and sales SOPs to be consistent throughout all their locations yet their actual plate SOPs and packaging aren't all the same. Some locations use these small plastic to-go boxes with a dash of sauce on their smothered burritos while this one still uses the traditional 2 paper plate stapled together for their to-go orders, and their burritos are always SMOTHERED in sauce.

As for the entire experience only at this location, it's always great. I'm always greeted by Angel whom is always so sweet, she remembers me as well, and she never seems to have a bad day and if she does she hides it very well.

The food is always so amazing. The seasoning, the amount of food, and the presentation is always great. I'll always keep returning...

I normally try not to complain when restaurants make mistakes. It happens. But when a restaurant has a chance to make it right, and they don't, it really gets to me, especially when they're rude. Chubbys on 72nd and federal is just horrible with their service. I ordered a smothered fry with beef and 2 cheese enchiladas. I got home, and there was no beef, not a big deal, could still eat the fries. But the enchiladas were a joke. Cheese enchiladas with no cheese, just a corn tortilla with chile on top lol. I took them back and the was about 20 people waiting for food, they were obviously behind and understaffed. There were 10 people behind me too so i didn't wanna hold everyone up. They couldn't do a refund but i wasn't waiting an hour for my food again. So the cashier wrote on the receipt a credit and signed it. 2 weeks later, tried to use it, they refused. New cashier, very rude. Wouldn't give her name because she is underage lol.Called manager who refused again to honor the credit her employee gave me. Manager Clarisa was supposed to call me, never did. Called back twice, she says she will call me, never does. All over 7 bucks i know, but now it's out of principle. Bottom line, don't go here. If u do, make sure u open your food to make sure they did their job lol. Make sure they put cheese in their cheese enchiladas. Ok sorry...

If I could give this place a zero I would this chubbys had been here since I was a kid, closed then read opened I have never dealt with the most unprofessional staff here at this location not wanting to help correct a mistake. Instead just laughing at me and insisted it was their policy to clearly not help a customer out with an incorrect order I was actually told I should check my order before I leave. So I guess they want people to open their burritos and enchiladas to make sure they actually added all the ingredients idk where if ANY restaurant has you check to make sure they put all of your food together correctly in the order but this place is a joke ANYMORE. Way to pricey for chili you can't even enjoy because it is so hot that not chili that's garbage oh also was refused owners or corporate 's contact info. Again these people are a joke Don't Waste your money on bad fake Mexican t..........lol food !!!! Those dirty Little kids they have working behind the counter though........lol nasty place nasty staff and nasty lil attitudes it's sad to see companies don't care about quality just revenue, then they wonder why everyone shop's corporate. . . . .lol get the picture! You should all try Las Delecias they pricey but better Mexican food for sure! Or anywhere else like tamale...
