Winchell's — Restaurant in Westminster

Watch out for overcharging!The rude old man is sneaky about charging more than what they're supposed to for their donuts! This establishment and the people that run it are shady, shiesty, and are very judgmental. Now I have visited this store couple of different times before writing this review just to see if they would get better but they didn't, very unfortunate! To start any other Winchell's that I've gone to their donuts are not freezing cold like they just took them out of the refrigerator. I'm not sure if they make these the night before or the day before they serve them however any other Winchell's I've gone to has fresh made donuts from that morning that are not freezing cold! If you refrigerate donuts it makes them into a different texture product that is not enjoyable. Second off as soon as I walked in the door every time I visit the store it seems like they want me to get the hell out of their establishment. They've been very rude and standoffish, as well As very unhelpful and almost overly cheap or stingy. I understand you have a business to run and it's a hard time right now but when you trying to stuff a half dozen donuts inside of a small paper lunch sack it just doesn't work out. I asked for a bigger bag and caught the third degree they did not want to give me another bag! I couldn't even close the one that they tried to give me all the donuts in. It's not that serious to give up a plastic bag especially if I'm paying $0.10 for it. Everytime I've gone in the store they try to overcharge me! They do it in a way where it's very sneaky they just overcharge you maybe 20-30 sense per donut but hey 20-30 cents on hundreds of donuts everyday adds up!!! Next time you going to store make your order examine the prices, and when you get your receipt if you get one make sure you get one you may be surprised at what I'm telling you is the truth! I don't know about everybody else but I would like to get treated like I'm lesser than you if I walk into your business establishment give you my money and then get ripped off on top of that very...

We just left this winchells after driving fourty minutes to get there. We are visiting Denver from another state and I realized this company was owned by the same company that owns a place called yum yum in California. Before we moved to Atlanta I used to go to yum yum all the time for their breakfast sandwiches. Sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel was the best dang breakfast sandwich I ever had. When we came in to this location the store was beautiful and clean. The gentleman at the counter was so friendly and helpful and did a great job making sure we didn't want anything else additional and told us about the dozen donuts. We ordered my breakfast sandwich and a chocolate bar donut for my husband. Donut was exactly how my husband remembered it and when I got my breakfast sandwich it was exactly the same! Their bagels are so good and fresh and I love that they have the sausage pieces inside the fluffy egg. When my husband asked for hot sauce he offered us two options which was very kind. He also made a point of asking how my sandwich was after he and my husband got to talking about how long I had been waiting to have one again. Basically amazing customer service and fantastic food. Much better than the other location we stopped at in Denver. That other store didn't even offer breakfast sandwiches. It was worth the...

Today was my first time at Winchell's. Stopped here for breakfast and to get some doughnuts.

Hot chocolate that was just hot water and cocoa powder (and you can clearly taste the tap water) should not cost more than $1.50.

I ordered a bacon and egg bagel. What I didn't know is that the bacon I ordered would turn out to be overcooked turkey bacon. Making my bagel very tough to chew, dry and tastless. I would assume that if a customer orders bacon, the person would expect pork bacon with their dish unless stated otherwise. If I wanted a piece of cardboard to chew on I would've found some at home, and not have paid money for it.

Chorizo croissant that was ordered also ended up being beef instead of pork. Which was another surprise. Though tasted much better.

The reason I am giving this place 2 starts is because the establishment was clean, including the bathroom. The doughnuts were fresh and very tasty. That would be the only reason for a return.

If for any reason the manager of this place will read this ‼️PLEASE inform customers that you guys do not serve pork as stated by one of the employees after the purchase and after we received and ate the food‼️ you might also want to consider adding that to the menu - online and in store.
