Iâve been a loyal customer of this restaurant since 2020, visiting often and truly enjoying the experience each time. I want to begin by saying that this review is not intended as a criticism or to harm the business in any way. Rather, it is shared respectfully, with the hope that this feedback can support the continued success of a place Iâve truly appreciated over the years.
Every time I come, I order the same wine â Emilio Moro â along with my usual three appetizers, gnocchi, and a shared meat dish. I never order the sides because I donât like to waste food, especially if I know I wonât touch them. My experiences have always been excellent, which is why this last visit was especially disappointing.
The issue this time was not with the service â our server was wonderful and very attentive â but with the food. The highlight of the meal, the Cowboy Steak, arrived dry and overcooked, despite having ordered it medium (which is already more undercooked than I usually prefer). Our server kindly offered to have it cooked a bit more, and I truly appreciated that. However, when it came back, the steak was already so overdone that even my husband noticed right away. It was completely dry. Still, I chose to eat it as it was because I donât like sending food back â I usually avoid uncomfortable situations and, if needed, will fix it at home myself.
I also want to mention, with full respect, the automatic gratuity. If itâs a legal requirement or standard practice, then so be it â but this is the only restaurant in Weston where gratuity is added automatically for just two guests. What upset me more was finding out that the full 18% tip doesnât even go directly to the server. I would have much preferred to leave the tip myself and ensure the full amount went to the person who served us â especially because she was not at fault for what happened in the kitchen.
For full transparency: I didnât take a photo of the steak at the moment because I had no intention of leaving a review. The only photo I have is one I took after getting home. However, because hours had already passed and Iâm someone who values honesty, I wonât use that image â it wouldnât fairly represent the dish as it was served.
Iâve never been someone who hesitates to spend money on a good experience â itâs not about the $435 bill. What truly bothered me was knowing the person who earned the tip wasnât going to receive it in full. In my view, itâs the restaurantâs responsibility to ensure fair compensation for its staff.
Again, this is shared from a place of respect and appreciation. I truly want to see this restaurant continue to succeed, and I hope this feedback is received...
Read moreFirst, let me have your full attention for the âPatatas Bravasâ in the house, because I am now emotionally attached to them. Every spice lover needs these in their lives! A little crispy on the outside, soft & warm on the inside with a finish of heat w a delicious saucy accent! (I would date them! đ¤Ł). Seriously, I had a âCarusoâ moment (or, CreosoteâŚ) and honestly could have kept shoving those little, angelic potatoes in my mouth until they carried me out on a stretcher. Zero regrets.
My group sampled several appetizers, The Beef Carpaccio (beautifully plated); the Octopus â a seafood loverâs dream; the EmpeĂąadas (some of the best in town); and the cheese plate (wasnât going to win a beauty contest, delish nonetheless) a âCinderellaâ momentâŚ
My Spicy Mamacita Cocktail was no âugly stepsister,â presented with a salty, mouth watering rim, it was refreshing perfection⌠not too spicy, not too sweet, simply spot-on.
We rounded our meal out with the fried chicken dish â a little dry (like it had gone thru a breakup) but with the added chimmichurri sauce delivered on the side, it was still delicious.
And when we thought we absolutely couldnât eat another bite, the Birthday Girlâs Chocolate Lava Cake w Vanilla Ice Cream arrived. The most beautifully presented chocolaty, gooey-est, glorious finale ever.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell there is great âpride of ownershipâ in this establishment. From the cozy yet classy bar dining area to the stellar service and premium menu offerings â all well-priced⌠(The Happy Hour Menu is clearly one of the best dining offerings in SoFlo.). And I congratulate them for offering bread & bread sticks to start (an important detail overlooked by many other establishments) and for their incomparable housekeeping âspotless!â
I will DEFINITELY return! đ...
Read moreI went here with my 2 sons for lunch. I had no reservation, and the minute we stepped in, we felt underdressed, so I asked the hostess if we were, and she immediately said we weren't and that they had no dress code and proceeded to give us a table, she made us feel great, kudos to her
Following up the service was really good, we ordered a parrillada for 2 (it comes with 2 side orders, great variety, I chose salad and fries) and a picanha (comes with 1 side order, but limited options I chose fries) 5 minutes after, I realized that they had truffle fries so I switched for 1 of the fries orders to be truffled Instead, as it was included with the parillada.
The food was great, great portions, and the cook on the protein was medium rare just like I had ordered, all dishes were delicious.
When the check comes I had and upcharge for Truffle fries for $3, when I asked the server he said that it was because truffle fries weren't included in the side orders for the plates chosen. So I asked for a menu, he brought it and pointed at the picanha which had limited side orders, but then I said that the parrillada had 2 side orders included, including the truffle fries, and he said there was an error on the Menu and that it wasn't his fault, as the menu was wrong and that their POS system creates the upcharge automatically...it wasn't about the $3, but he was clearly lying to my face and that made me furious...I asked for the manager, (meanwhile the server run my CC deducting the $3 upcharge) and when the manager came he said the server had told him that he had made a mistake, and wanted to give me something for free, which I declined.
If it wasn't for the server's attitude, I would have given this place 5 stars. Unfortunately, a server lying to a customer instead of apologizing is a huge no no in...
