TERRIBLE! I wasn’t even going to write a review, but at this point this is ridiculous! My family booked this resort because it was the closest to the port for our cruise. We checked in July 12th with checkout on July 21st. We got back from our cruise today, the 18th to cleaners in one of our rooms (mine specifically) and all of our belongings GONE! Supposedly there was a “system error.”
First of all, we booked reservations for three rooms. We arrived after 4PM on check in day, and checked into two of our rooms with no problem. Our family that is occupying the third room arrived around 5/6 PM, and the room was not ready. When they did receive their room, it was a room that was not cleaned! Used wine glasses on the table, the living room was not up-kept, and you could clearing tell someone just checked out or it was someone else’s room. They did change their room, and we were very understanding that mistakes happen.
Now originally when booking we requested all three rooms to be on the same floor, and of course they said that wouldn’t be a problem. Upon arrival they advised us they would not be able to accommodate all of us on the same floor and we let them know that was fine. Again, we understand.
For my room we did need another room key, which we did go to the front desk to get. She wrote the wrong room number on the key cover, but we didn’t pay it any mind because it still worked for our room. Like I said, we came back today from our cruise to cleaners in our room and our belongings gone. Supposedly the staff was still trying to accommodate our request of having all three rooms on the same floor, and that room number that was on the key cover was the room we were suppose to be moved to, but that was never communicated to us! And we would have declined the change of rooms.
Why would we want to change rooms after already being settled in knowing we have to get ready to leave for our cruise the next day?
The cleaners were very apologetic and patient with us which I do appreciate, but the front desk on the other hand I did not appreciate. She was not empathetic at all, and just didn’t seem to care especially about our belongings after expressing that was my main concern! She kept reiterating that they were trying to accommodate our request of being on the same floor like nothing was done wrong on their part.
We did speak with the manager as well. She said she tried knocking on the door multiple days (we were on a cruise for 5 days) and got no answer so they assumed we were in the room they never told us to move to.
My thing is was the other room even checked to see if there were any occupants before removing our belongings. We had groceries, clothing, KEYS, a birthday cake in the freezer for when we got back, and other personal belongings for our trip! Luckily we returned a few hours after everything was taken out of our room, so it had not been disposed of.
On top of that the pull out bed was not clean! I had to knock the crumbs out of the bed myself. I WILL NEVER, and I do mean NEVER come back! The only plus of this stay is the location. They have stores and restaurants that are walking distance.
I would still leave 0 stars...
Read moreMy husband and I and our three kids(6,9,12) stayed for one week. We are big beach people and the closest beach was Hollywood beach was a good 25-40 min away depending on traffic. Parking was a minimum of 20 dollars if you planned on staying for more then 2 hours(which we did). Upon checking in to the resort we had to wait an extra 35 min in the lobby because the room was not ready. And we had to keep checking because nobody was informing us of what was going on. We are bluegreen timeshare owners and booked this thru RCI. They said they treat BG owners like VIP guests and offered us a free breakfast and if we walked thru an updated unit and gave our opinion they would give us a 100 dollar visa gift card. We were sold. We showed up to the location they gave us for breakfast and we had to wait for someone to come up to us and then they told us to go to a second location for breakfast which they sat there and ate with us and then we had to drive back to the first location. When we got back we were stuck there for two hours while they tried to sell us another timeshare! Then he got mad when we didn’t buy it. Which we already had stated we have a timeshare that we are very happy with. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They have a very nice pool area as well. BUT if you call the front desk asking for anything they tell you that you have to come and get it. We are spoiled because with BG you call and ask for something and they are at your door within a couple min. They do have laundry on every floor, but the detergent and dryer sheets for purchase are on the first floor laundry room. We were on the fourth so that was a bit of a hassle. They have activities at the pool area every day which is nice but the bingo is only for adults and you have to pay to play(which is nice) but they should have it for children as well. They have bbq areas but you must have 20 dollars cash to rent the bbq utensils. You get the cash back when you return the utensils cleaned. They also have a smoothie bar which is also cash only. Over all it’s a nice resort(maybe for a couple, not so much a family) I feel like they deal with more adults then children. I wouldn’t come back with...
Read moreWe started out in one building. It was musty smelling and awful. Lights did not work in the bedroom nor the living room. Hairdryer was broken. Outside plastic table was so wobbly, you could not place anything on it. Coffee maker was so old it was barely usable. Our view was of the street, Walgreens and the garbage bins. We watched frogs in the parking lot eat maggots. Quite revolting. I went and pleasantly pled my case to the front desk, almost begging when I was told basically too bad to be changed to a different room. I was told my complaints would be noted and addressed. 36 hours later? Lights were not fixed and we sat in the dark in our living room. Totally unacceptable. I felt awful for my friend. I went back to the front desk, this time noting I was underwhelmed and less than impressed with the way our issues were left unresolved and ignored. Again, it was noted there were 0 units comparable to the one we were in to move us to. I shook my head. 1 week of this? And more maggot watching was just more than I could bear. I finally let on that I was a local writer doing a review, and here with my friend and all of this? Shameful. Miraculously! There suddenly was 1 room suddenly was a room for us to move to that is called an A unit. Funny how that works, isn't it? Let me tell you something. Once we moved rooms, to the better building? There was 0 musty smell. All the appliances work. The hdmi ports in the tvs have not been dug out. Lights are in working order. It is like 2 completely different properties. And the 2 people basically refusing initially to move us? Just horrific customer...
