This is the 2nd time I visit a Bocas House. The food is delicious just as their desserts are. But like any Bocas House location with or without reservation getting seated is a nightmare. This particular location is very tiny not many seating options definitely not a restaurant for large group. For the most part people who have finished their meals in our case just wouldn’t get up and leave. The restaurant also wouldn’t ask them to move their conversation perhaps outside to one of their outdoors seating since they did have people waiting to be seated. I get it may not sound right, but there’s ways of communicating this in a nice way. Maybe asking if there’s something else they needed and state we’re extremely sorry but we have a reservation of 6 waiting outside with children for your table. But that didn’t happen we had to wait an additional 35 min for our table bringing our wait time with reservation to over 2 hours. Ultimately the people we were waiting to leave didn’t leave when we got seated they continued to sit next to us for another 30 min just talking. People if you visit this location or in fact any restaurant be considerate if you’re done get up and move your conversation outside or elsewhere it’s not fair to your waiter missing out on tips from another group they can be serving and also not fair to the people waiting outside especially in such a small restaurant with large wait times. I’m rating this restaurant 4 stars because I feel the manager should’ve maybe taken the initiative and explained to the 3 women that had already paid and are just talking and not eating anything the situation and needing the table for a group of 6 with children. Overall the waitress was apologetic for the unfortunate situation and food was delicious and the service was impeccable.

Simply an excellent experience for me and my family. Kristle(asssiatnt manager) was attentive and made top class recommendations. This was me and my family’s first time trying this establishment, we wanted to try something different in the area and we were not disappointed. We started off our night with the traditional sangria which was delicious! Very light and refreshing with a great job with presentation. Next we tried the ceviche. I will be honest, I was never a fan of ceviche until Bocas. Strong bold flavors of lime and Smokey octopus. Mixed nuts for crunch, the dish was absolutely top class and delicious. My step mother doesn’t usually like cold dishes but she absolutely loved it. Next we ordered our entreè’. My family ordered the Bocas house samoler which was served with pork sausage, blood sausage, short ribs with fries and coverd with a cheddar sauce, grilled chicken and yuka. Over all the platter was fantastic and full of flavor. The corn could have used more seasoning but that’s a small adjustment. As for my self, I ordered the skirt steak and creamy pasta. This dish was simply exquisite and delicious. The pasta was creamy and had great flavor. I switched my skirt steak for a ribeye for a more tender cut. The steak was juicy and tender. Excellent dish. Lastly we ended the night the with kris recommending tresleches cake and everyone… this was hands down the best tresleches I have ever had! The cake was moist and rich, not over soaked in milk. From the mix of condensed milk and cinnamon, this dessert was the perfect way to end the night. Over all an amazing experience. Great job to the bocas team and hats off to kristle for her excellent service. We will definitely be back for more.

NOT worth the price!!!!! First the food was tasty but cold. We had like 6 servers and it was the most uncomfortable situation, but yet we didn't see that happen with any other table. The one guy got our drinks wrong, our food order wrong andddd the dessert order wrong. When it was time to get the check they all disappeared and acted like they were too busy to bring the check. We had to ask 3 times. When my husband asked the 3rd time the same guy made a face then send someone to drop the check and yet another to run our card. Children are supposed to eat free and was charged for the meal.(we were there on a Monday at 430pm) They have good marketing which is how they get ya in, but def not WORTH the price. THEIR SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. If you are going to charge 18 for Mac and cheese you need to explain how is made give great presentation not just slap it on the table and disappear and send in the next server. Now the table across from us was Hispanic and they got a complete different treatment than we did. The only thing i personally enjoyed was the Nutella on the rim of the dessert we DIDNT order, we had only order a simple milkshake.

UPDATE: we’ve been customers for more than a year and every single time we have a important date to celebrate we choose this amazing restaurant. It never disappoints. The service is everything you want when you’re being served. Mary is always pleasant with our requests and she remembers us even that we are not that regulars, we come once a month. All the staff is so sweet and they know how to do their jobs. It’s amazing to find people that really love what they’re doing. Thank you all 🫶🏻 We come to Weston every 15 days so my husband can get his haircut. Today we were gladly surprised by this hidden gem in town center Weston. The food was great, all the flavors were perfectly mixed together, our server was so incredible and her service were amazing. She made the experience completely beyond words. Thank you so much, Mary you are so good on your service and are part of those talented, kind and efficient waitresses that you can count with just the fingers of one hand. You are one of a kind. Thank you for all your recommendations. We come back for sure and will ask for you again!

My husband and I went to the restaurant after seeing people around us go and give great reviews, and also for the giant smoothie. I wasn’t sure what type of food to expect but it’s a Peruvian/Venezuelan fusion place from what I gathered. When we went we were seated immediately, it did take a minute for our waitress to introduce herself, but she was lovely throughout the whole service. We started our dinner off with the grilled octopus, which was to absolutely delicious. After that, we shared a corvina ceviche, we did ask for it to be spicy and I thought it had no spice at all, but my husband said it was, but either way I am a bit glad it wasn’t spicy as I could taste all the flavors of the ceviche and it was Amazing as well! My husband order the gnocchi picanha and I got the pescado a lo macho, I forgot to take a picture of mine because as soon as I got it I immediately started eating! Overall, it was a great experience and may replace our favorite restaurant dr. Limón. I liked how they really focused on the quality of the food and presentation.

My family and I were recommended to this place by an associate based on their food and milkshakes. Our food was good, but the appetizers, though good, were not hot when served. We pointed this out to our server, Jose, and the entrees came out hot, which we appreciated. However, the shrimp in the seafood risotto was undercooked. My family enjoyed their pork chop and crispy shrimp alfredo pasta. As for the milkshakes, we ordered regular milkshakes to go as we did not want all the added desserts on top, but had to ask them to remake them as they were warm and liquidy as if enough ice cream was not added. The second time they were better, but they did not live up to the hype and anticipation that was created by the recommendation. Overall the food was good. Perhaps they can work on attention to detail and quality. Not certain we would try them again, particularly since we don't live in close vicinity of the restaurant.
