AVOID this place . This has to be the worst restaurant i have been in my 51 yrs on Earth. After looking on line it looks amazing, but when u go , its a train wreck. I should of known as soon as u walk in and see the old weathered hostess booth and the ugly water damaged lower wall by the waiter window. They sat us at the worst table which is right in front of the kitchen door, so we moved one table back. The waitress was fine she took the orders and tje food came out fairly quick. I have also over the years noticed, when a restaurant has a big menu , it means they are mediocre., i was wrong once the food came it was worst. I ordered a vaca frita which is a Cuban dish om which the meat is supposed to be ripped up meat fried up on a pan and its supposed to be a little crispy , but not burnt. Well this was meat that was half ass ripped , and microwaved, wasn't even hot , not crispy, ,no taste, the rice was all sticky, the black beans were ok but they only gave u a tiny drizzle . The best part were the fried plantains which were ok. You could of gone to Pollo Tropical and gotten wayyy better food then this garbage..My wife orderd a chicken milanesa and they bought her a meat milanesa which was burnt like crazy , she return it ,didn't even eat it. My daughter had a fettucine pasta with churrasco and she said it was nothing great about it , but was edible. This is a high priced ,diner with terrible food that is over priced. Im Cuban , my wife is Peruvian and we know how to eat were not cheap and we go to good places all over South Fl from little mom and pop restaurants to fancy places and this is the absolute worst restaurant I have visited in my life on any continent, i have visited many restaurants world wide and this so far is the words worst . I do t understand what people come here , i guess its Weston residentes that dont want to leave far out Weston and just settles for this overprice garbage. Im a nice person and I give good honest reviews but I had to give my honest opinión, Don't waste your money here , IHOP , Dennys is way better ....
Read moreThis is the 2nd time I visit a Bocas House. The food is delicious just as their desserts are. But like any Bocas House location with or without reservation getting seated is a nightmare. This particular location is very tiny not many seating options definitely not a restaurant for large group. For the most part people who have finished their meals in our case just wouldn’t get up and leave. The restaurant also wouldn’t ask them to move their conversation perhaps outside to one of their outdoors seating since they did have people waiting to be seated. I get it may not sound right, but there’s ways of communicating this in a nice way. Maybe asking if there’s something else they needed and state we’re extremely sorry but we have a reservation of 6 waiting outside with children for your table. But that didn’t happen we had to wait an additional 35 min for our table bringing our wait time with reservation to over 2 hours. Ultimately the people we were waiting to leave didn’t leave when we got seated they continued to sit next to us for another 30 min just talking. People if you visit this location or in fact any restaurant be considerate if you’re done get up and move your conversation outside or elsewhere it’s not fair to your waiter missing out on tips from another group they can be serving and also not fair to the people waiting outside especially in such a small restaurant with large wait times. I’m rating this restaurant 4 stars because I feel the manager should’ve maybe taken the initiative and explained to the 3 women that had already paid and are just talking and not eating anything the situation and needing the table for a group of 6 with children. Overall the waitress was apologetic for the unfortunate situation and food was delicious and the service...
Read moreSimply an excellent experience for me and my family. Kristle(asssiatnt manager) was attentive and made top class recommendations. This was me and my family’s first time trying this establishment, we wanted to try something different in the area and we were not disappointed. We started off our night with the traditional sangria which was delicious! Very light and refreshing with a great job with presentation. Next we tried the ceviche. I will be honest, I was never a fan of ceviche until Bocas. Strong bold flavors of lime and Smokey octopus. Mixed nuts for crunch, the dish was absolutely top class and delicious. My step mother doesn’t usually like cold dishes but she absolutely loved it. Next we ordered our entreè’. My family ordered the Bocas house samoler which was served with pork sausage, blood sausage, short ribs with fries and coverd with a cheddar sauce, grilled chicken and yuka. Over all the platter was fantastic and full of flavor. The corn could have used more seasoning but that’s a small adjustment. As for my self, I ordered the skirt steak and creamy pasta. This dish was simply exquisite and delicious. The pasta was creamy and had great flavor. I switched my skirt steak for a ribeye for a more tender cut. The steak was juicy and tender. Excellent dish. Lastly we ended the night the with kris recommending tresleches cake and everyone… this was hands down the best tresleches I have ever had! The cake was moist and rich, not over soaked in milk. From the mix of condensed milk and cinnamon, this dessert was the perfect way to end the night. Over all an amazing experience. Great job to the bocas team and hats off to kristle for her excellent service. We will definitely be...
