ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES!!!! They also have RATS, RATS, RATS!!!
MOLD, MOLD, MOLD!! BLACK MOLD IN THE ICE!!
DIRTY BAR!
DIRTY KITCHEN. Its an open kitchen, you can watch them perform from the hall that leads to the dirty bathrooms. If you sit there you can observe no hand washing, no changing of gloves when they touch raw chicken, you can observe the cooks eating on the line over other food. Thats pretty nasty
This is such a food hazard and health hazard. Sanitation hazard. Hazards everywhere. I dont know how this place has passed health inspections.
Air Conditioning doesnt work properly, and it gets hot in there, like really hot, like Nelly hot in here. Why? In my experience servicing restaurants for 20 years, the RATS have chewed thru your air ducts.
How come we cant hear the music? No Ambience. Manager told me that the speakers were just fixed… well again, my experience servicing restaurants, RATS LOVE to chew thru speaker wires…
If you had the music on and all speakers working, then i wouldn’t be able to hear them run up there. Pretty nasty
CARPET DIRTY, OILY WET
Place is all around DIRTY. Run your fingers thru the chairs, very OILY. Sticky
Look at the blinds at every window: very dirty and full of OIL.
Hoods are not working properly. How do i know? (20 years of servicing restaurants)
Menus are dirty and disorganized
These people suck in keeping RESERVATIONS!
You made a reservation at 8pm for your fam of 10? No worries, they will tell you it’s not their problem (what they did to me) as you wait over 1 hour to sit, when you get there on time for your reservation… completely absurd and unprofessional. I would say thats very ARROGANT.
Inexperienced Sushi cooks here. No one there is a Chef. Let’s not offend Chefs. These are cooks. Amateur, over cooking, cooks!
Takes 30-60 seconds to cook shrimp, you can watch these guys scorch the shrimp for over 5 minutes as they smile at you!
They dont bother cleaning the doodoo out of the shrimp either
CROSS CONTAMINATION like crazy! You can watch it unfold at your table as they use the same spatula that touches raw chicken and then they touch cooked veggies with. Same spat for everything. Med rare steak sitting right next to a salmonella infected raw chicken (med rare steak doesnt get cooked at the same temp that Chicken is… 165 is chicken temp. And Med-Rare steak is 130)
So if you ever wonder why you have to run to the bathroom after eating hibachi is because you got infected with cross contamination and your body is reacting.
The building also has structural damage on roof that you can see from outside. Thats a perfect Rat entrance. (Where are the county inspectors? Whos being paid off here?) real negligent & reckless.
After reading all of this, one may ask, damn how did you observe all of this? Well when you get there 10 min before your reservation and they dont sit you til after well over an hour after your reservation, you get bored and start to observe and analyze, walk around, stand around. If you stay quiet and just watch you will see some wild stuff. You can sit at the sushi bar and zoom in on some stuff with your camera. Like how their freezers dont keep temp as they are serving you sushi grade tuna that has to keep temp… then sit at the bar, the bartender let me look at his well just because we built a connection talking about bartending and drinks and asked and boom! MOLD in the ice picture when he left to the bathroom.
Also being bored, i started doing my research on this place. Ownership isn’t from the USA. Ownership is from Venezuela, and lives in Venezuela, as 1 Venezuelan owner lives in the US. Well one may say who cares? Well whats Venezuela? Its a Communist/Dictatorship country. So if they are doing biz here and living there, what would that make them? #Allegedly
Locations: Weston, Plantation, Doral & Boynton
How can Cubans of Weston support this & eat here?
My observations, my experiences and sharing my view and opinions. I dont think establishments like these should be open. They care more about profit...
Read moreI was excited for our V-day dinner here with friends. I live right next to the Sunrise one, but think this one is 'fancier', so we planned the trek to Weston. I called on 02/01 and was surprised to hear I was the first reservation, so I took the 8pm time frame. On the day of (02/14), we arrived at 7:55, I didn't expect to be sat immediately, but minimal wait since we had a reservation. Not to mention, they were telling most guests a time frame of 15-20 minutes and told us (along with some others who came in after with reservations) we would be sat 'shortly'. Around 8:15, the waiting area cleared out and we assumed we were next on the list. A few more parties came in after us, some with reservations, some without. Those with reservations said it was for 8:15 or later. They reassured, especially those who were there 15-20 minutes in advance, they would not be seated before their original time because of how busy they were. When the next two available tables were sat, WE WERE NOT ONE OF THEM. We were a party of 5-- I understand that there was probably some strategy to seating the tables to ensure the most spaces were maximized. However, a party of 6, two parties of 4 AND three parties of 2-- that all came in well AFTER us were all seated BEFORE US. After going up three times and getting a little irritated the 3rd time, we were finally sat at 8:46PM. We were even more irritated when the party we sat with told us their reservation was for 8:30... ours was 8pm. The waitress was a very kind young woman, but I am not sure if she was overwhelmed or just not ready for a Valentine's Day dinner rush, but her service didn't make the experience any better. The waitress came to take our drink orders immediately after we sat. While sitting there, we watched the table in front of us get sat, order drinks, get drinks & start to order their entrees... all while waiting for our drinks. They arrived at the table at 9:06. Yes, we did have some alcohol and expected a wait from the bar, but what about the waters and sodas, and why was the table across given all their alcoholic beverages so promptly? On the topic of alcoholic beverages, I ordered a Sapora, on the menu it says it is an imported beer and $7.50. No where on the menu did it say there was varying sizes of the beer. I noticed when the can came, it was much larger than my boyfriends Ichiban, but again, nothing was stated on the menu, so I thought I got the better deal. Till the bill came! The chef arrived at 9:19 and was a little stunned to see we still had not gotten soup or salad yet. He went back & within a minute, someone was out with soup, then salad. The chef & the food was the best part of our experience and I have no complaints about either. We asked for the check around 9:45-9:55, definitely before 10pm. That too took forever to arrive at 10:12. When it arrived, I was shocked to see that those Saporas I ordered were $23.90 for two, when it said $7.50 on the menu. I immediately had enough & zero patience left, so I asked for a manager. The manager I spoke to told me that they don't have 12oz Sapora EVER in stock, she agreed that it is not stated on the menu & I should've been notified by the server. She did remove the beers from our bill, but said in regards to my other complaints, she wasn't able to handle it, so to post it online to get a response... so here I am! I am a 3rd grade teacher and have an AMPLE amount of patience and never complain. This experience was very highly anticipated and completely ruined mine and 3 others Valentine's Day evening, especially after how much we spent. I hope someone reaches out to make this right, or I'll be thinking twice about visiting this...
Read moreOnce again I have to say I had a HORRIBLE experience. I had to use my other email to be able to leave a review because 5 months ago I had already left a review but Google wouldn't let me add one more review and the restaurant did make it up to us last time to be able to restore faith into coming back but I didn't think was happened today was even possible.. We are regulars and we loved Japan inn but now after this experience we are very extremely hesitant to even come back. It all started when we first got there and were seated at the hibachi table and it was just us two then two separate guest joined the table (they weren't with us) so in total the chef/cook (if you can even call him that ) only had to cook for 4 people which wasn't even overwhelming or nothing. I get the same thing ALWAYS. I get my soup and my Filet mignon tossed in teriyaki sauce with double fried rice and absolutely NO veggies at all in the rice or on the side and I make that very clear to the person taking my order and to the cook. It was very clear to the server who took our order and he takes care of us from time to time so he knows what I get and he wasn't the problem. The problem was the cook he seemed like he was bothered that I had asked for my food that way. He went around the table and read everyone's order and I confirmed three times how I wanted my food especially the part with no veggies. He seemed extremely annoyed that he had to make it that way. So when he served my rice it was clear bad attitude and didn't give me double fried rice he quickly added the onions and everything else that's added to the rice before I could ask him for more rice..then he went on to make everything else.. My significant other also got filet mignon but he got everything else with veggies which was fine for him. But when it came to serve our filet I stopped the cook when he was about to serve the filet to my plate because he didn't bother to add teriyaki sauce like I had ordered it and when I told him right when I caught him before adding the filet to my plate he just had an attitude...so he added the sauce then I'm all set with my food so I pulled my plate towards me closer to me and I'm just starting to eat and I'm good on my end with my meal... Or so you think but the cook went on to cook veggies for what I thought was everyone else. So I'm just minding my own business about to take another bite of my food when all of the sudden the cook goes ahead and just adds a bunch of veggies on my plate and I said nooo...but by then it was too late he had already put them on my plate. That's when my experience was ruined. The cook didn't even suggest anything not even to remake my whole meal except for me to pick out the veggies on my own. And for him to even say that was completely unacceptable..By that point my meal was ruined. I was very specific I can't have veggies at all and I made it very clear to him. I was upset and I asked him to please remove the plate from the table this has been ruined but instead he just had an empty plate in his hand and I put the plate on top of it thinking he was going to take the plate but no instead he left the plate there on the table and walked away. I did speak to a manager who offered to cover the meal and did offer to remake the food but by then I was already appalled of what had happened for the cook to say just pick out the veggies myself. I am completely heartbroken that our favorite place to go to is turning...
