El Colombiano — Restaurant in Weston

New review: The food is amazing. I used to order only for take out, then decided to dine in, however, we have one bad experience after the other, but yesterday was the cherry on top. The restaurant only had one table besides our table, our food took longer than usual, our waitress was no where to be found after she took our order, we have to ask another waitress why our food was taking longer than usual, if it wasn’t ready we were going to leave and then all the sudden our food came to our table? Then one dish the punta de anca was very chewy I told the new waitress to send it back and just bring a regular steak because we were on a hurry she gave me a bad look and dare to bring again the same punta de anca. We were honestly on a hurry to take an extra 20 minutes to dispute we just paid and leave. Also, as an today we are still waiting for our refund on a dish we were extra charge by mistake on March 30,2023 every time we went to the restaurant we let them know we never received the money back. I’m very sorry to say that I wouldn’t want to dine in again for the service instead I will stick to take out.

We have been trying to get our money back for over a month! On March 30,2023 we went to have lunch at your restaurant we had 2 lunch specials and by the time we paid we notice there was an extra dish charged to us ! We told the waitress and claimed the refund was made to the original card, however it’s been over a month and there was never a refund to us! We have been speaking with the waitress at the restaurant and we always get the same response “it should return to your card soon”. We shouldn’t be paying extra money for the waitress mistake. We need our money back ASAP!

The ownership SUCKS 5 months and never return the money...

We eat Colombian once a week, generally closer to where we live. And we love it, and my wife is Colombian so we always try places when we travel. Today was huge let down. The waitress didn’t know the specials from the start, then it took them a few tries to get them right. When we ordered we then waited about 40 min to get our order, and the soup came out with the meals. The biggest disappointment was the reason for coming. The food. My order was supposed to come with the steak and the seafood “soup” was supposed to be served separately, as the photo showed in the digital menu. Instead it was poured over an overcooked piece of beef. I won’t call it a steak. I scraped the soup off and tried the steak. It was the. Obvious why they outed the soup over the steak, to hide the flavor. The steak was horrible. No seasoning. Tasted liked cheap a beef cut. The Mondongo tasted horrible and obviously had not had the tripe properly cleaned or cooked long enough. The papas criollas were flavorless, and over cooked. The red beans were just beans. No flavor. The salad had no dressing and none was offered. My wife’s lengua en salsa was bland, but decent otherwise. Maybe that’s a regional thing. We both left food on our plates, including most of my steak. They did discount the mondongo from the bill. I probably wouldn’t have written anything for a review, except then they automatically include an 18 percent tip on a party...

My sister was doing a procedure at the clinic beside this place and I was feeling hungry,walked over which took me like 10min(very close). Sat down and service was pretty fast, waitress was very friendly. I didn't want something heavy because it was early so I just stuck with coffee, orange juice and the order of empanadas which is $11 for 6 empanadas.I didn't have to wait long for my coffee and orange juice which was great,freshly squeezed juice. The empanadas came out quickly after and even tho it was delicious flavor wise it came cold,I did notice that they had a hot display with empanadas so I'm guessing that's where it came from. I would have wished it was made to order because it took away from the experience,I did mention it to the waitress and even tho she insisted they go out fast I received mine cold and I wouldn't have minded waiting if it was freshly made and hot because eating cold empanadas is not appealing. Id definitely give it a second go but this time insist my stuff...
