Lisa's Pizza — Restaurant in Westwood

Admirable pizza, especially based on its distance to me.

This is a place 3 blocks from my home. Is it the GOAT of pizza? I can't say that it is. But if my choice is a 3-block walk to this place and ordering delivery from another place, I'm taking a walk.

Their sandwiches are solid. My go-to's are sausage parm or cheesesteak. I always ask for the bread to be toasted before filling, and they always accomodate.

Their spaghetti with sausage is also excellent.

As for their pizza, they get me when I say I want the pizza well done (I've learned to say crispy, but it's the same thing). And though I said it's not the end-all and be-all, it's definitely GOOD. Plus hey, I could use that 6-block round-trip walk anyway.

When it comes to pizza, there's no rhyme or reason to what I want. I've had their Lisa's Special, their stuffed pizza, plain pizza, and pepperoni pizza. I wouldn't get the stuffed pizza again but that's my fault: I had no idea what that even was, and I was curious. It's a pizza with all the toppings, except sauce, layered inside a top and bottom crust. They give you sauce to dip the pizza in. It wasn't bad, it was good! It's just not what I'm looking for when I've decided to eat pizza. That would be more on the line of like mozzarella sticks or calamari or wings or whatever.

Definitely worth a try, and MOST DEFINITELY if they are close to your home...

First two times I went here were great loved the pizza. However we went back for a third time and did not have a great experience AT ALL first got the pizza and it was all doughy literally sticking to the bottom of the box. Then once we called and explained that it wasn’t good the guy who makes the pizzas told me that he made the pizza and claimed it was good, like what? And then got into contact with the owner about the pizza and this guys attitude and the owner told us we can get a free pizza for the inconvenience. We just went back today actually and the guy who makes the pizza saw us walk in and rolled his eyes at me and my mom and once we told him we get a free pizza he gave us the most horrible look rolled his eyes AGAIN and didn’t say two words until he said, “you know make sure the pizzas good this time.” Horrible experience he should be confronted about the...

over the last couple months I've stopped in to get a slice around Sicilian and they never have any ready the manager for the guy who runs the play store in the daytime says yeah right when we make it we sell out well I guess that would tell you to make extra or make a couple pies at a time instead of one so you don't run out well last night l I decided just to order a pie so I didn't have to go to the aggravation of going there and them not having any well the pie showed up an hour and 15 minutes after I ordered it ice cold it was terrible for $20.25 it was a total ripoff the manager needs to get his head on or the owner of Lisa's Pizza cuz this used to be one of the best pizza parlors around I grew up in Bergen county my whole life I left the area for a couple years and I've come back and what a let down Lisa's...
