Five Guys — Restaurant in Wheeling Township

I called ahead to order my food because sadly I only get a 30 min lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger “all the way” w/o ketchup, mayo or onions and add BBQ sauce. Also a little fry which on regular occasions is more than enough. I also asked if the fries could be cooked then, so I wouldn’t have to wait as I only have 30 mins. Also I like them to cool down a bit before I eat them anyway! The person on the phone said “no problem, 8-10 mins!” I get there approx 10 mins later, tell them I have a call in and notice the cook drop the fries....... I sat there hoping that’s not mine because I asked they be cooked... I ask for a cup of water and wait as four assumed teenagers or young adults sit behind the counter talking and laughing. After about 4 mins they call my name, a little upset I go to my car to eat and head back to work. I grab a couple fries out the bag as I make my short drive down the street. Then I notice they’re a little light. Sure enough I had just enough to fill the small cup for the little fry.... $3.29 for an order of fries and I got maybe 25 fries (if that). Okay whatever, I grab the burger.. it’s literally dripping with mushrooms which I don’t mind but c’mon. Then I say this is a bit dry.. they didn’t put BBQ sauce or tomatoes on the burger... So basically I paid $13 for a dry burger and a sad sack of fries! I want everyone to enjoy their jobs but Maybe let’s pay attention to the orders then joke around! I’m very disappointed in this...

It is a small restaurant, but the food here is really good. The simple burgers I had here are what’s keeping me coming back to it. I even regret that I did not find this place sooner. It is a clean place with a small space since it is not that big, but still spacious enough, I think. The staff are all very nice. They are so friendly and they give everything accurately. They have a nice menu with a variety of options, and the prices are all fair and reasonable. I only ordered a cheeseburger for my lunch and a drink. I like the fact that the service is quick and that it only takes about 15 minutes because there are some restaurants that would keep me waiting for almost half an hour for a few orders, and I am just glad that this place is different. They gave me the food after it was cooked, and nothing tastes better when the burger is fresh and hot. It was not too greasy and it was actually juicy. Everything has a nice texture, and overall, it just tastes really amazing, like it always should be. The cheeseburger alone could make me feel full and satisfied, and it was really worth the price. It tastes so good that I could say that it deserves a higher price for it considering the delicious...

I was here yesterday and I just wanted to say the employees were great, efficient and very respectful. This is my favorite Five Guys location and I drive to this one instead of the one in schaumburg by my house because the service is so good. Unfortunately when I was there a rude customer started berating the workers and screaming at them when they were trying to do their jobs. I believe in the right to refuse service to customers who are causing trouble and ruining the experience for others. Especially during covid when we can finally enter stores again, absolutely ridiculous! Anyway great food and my personal favorite location, keep up...
