Something I always look forward to each day when I go to school is to go out and eat lunch with friends. Even when it is 12 degrees out in winter with negative windchill and no car i still feel that I must persevere through frigid and frozen terrain to have a reward of amazing cuisine that only they, Mugs Pizza And Grill, can produce with absolute precision and perfection every single time. Every time I glance at their big white sign going down Rand Road, it just makes me think “I wish I could have some of that.” My love for Mugs has become some sort of an obsession, an addiction if you will, as I have gone there regularly throughout the school year. It is unhealthy, I know, but me and my friends agree it is most definitely worth it for the amazingly delicious mouthwatering taste their food provides. In the long, boring, and unpleasant school day, Mugs Pizza And Grill Arlington Heights acts as a light at the end of the tunnel. The food is so excellent that it is worth walking in frigid 12 degree weather for many miles on slippery, icy sidewalks in February in Chicago. When I pass by the Muggaverro family restaurant, I just think to myself about the juicy, delicious double cheeseburgers with gooey cheese and fresh toppings perfectly placed. I think of the french fries with the perfect ratio of salt, oil, and trans-fatty acids. I think of their appetizing cheese curds that are deep fried in a hot tub of juicy oil and brought out in a perfectly sized bag with just the right amount of crisp and just waiting for pure enjoyment in both the taste buds and the soul. Since the year 1988, the Muggaverro family has been making mainly pizza, but I personally feel that when they got the idea to make burgers, they found gold. Whoever came up with the concept for the Muggaverro family to make burgers and cheese curds needs a raise and I want to personally thank them from the bottom of my heart for their brilliant idea. This place deserves an award. When you are looking for the perfect meal, Go to Mugs Pizza and Grill in Arlington Heights. You will find exactly what you are...
Read moreMugs has been my boyfriends favorite pizza for years. Hes a regular and never really had problems with them. A few nights ago my boyfriend and I ordered a pizza and a sandwich. the meal was like 40 bucks. We asked for light cheese and well done. When we received the pizza it was loaded with cheese and not the least bit well done. I have stomach issues so I only eat when the cheese is cooked all the way In order to help digest better. we called back and explained this to the person there whos name was Mathew. He told us that the order would be reviewed and that he would called us back. We waited, no call back. So my boyfriend called them again. This is when Mathew proceeded to tell us that the owner reviewed a saved recording and that we DID NOT order the pizza well done or light cheese. Here's the best part. i actually do have camera in my house and I do have there real recording of him ordering the pizza. I went and found the recording and video and was told that I would get an email to sent it too. Never got it. Mathew refused to apologize for lying and saying that the call was recorded and that we did not order the way that we had proof of ordering. even though we played it back for him. We always order pizza the same way. the pizza is still sitting full on top of our garbage because I couldnt eat it. They refused to remake the pizza the way we asked for it. refused to give us a refund. they are liars and weren't expecting that I myself have cameras in my house. I don't even care about the pizza or the money anymore. but the fact that he straight up lied to us on the phone is really messed up. i guess Mathew didn't think we really...
Read moreI’m reporting you to the health department! E. coli is not a joke and Lord knows how many people you have made sick by now! Eww! Shame on you! I thought this was a restaurant not a 7 Eleven gas station. I ordered a Tamale expecting it to be like from a restaurant that actually makes it. They stuck some mass produced thawed out Tamale in my dinner that I had to heat up myself. What makes it worse is the manufacturer packaging in the picture I took says keep frozen. So this is restaurant is doing what’s called time temperature abuse with the food which means they can make you sick by not following heath department requirements coupled with the fact that it doesn’t look like anyone wears gloves is negligence. Don’t order the Tamale if you expect it to be made there and ready to eat in the car. Makes me wonder how many things they don’t make there. This pissed me off. The cheese fries suck too. Not delicious like you’d expect from most restaurants. It was a disgusting paste they use for cheese and the fries were so soggy. Fries should never be soggy. I tossed them in the garbage. The thing with the Tamale though. Wow. Imagine going to Taco Bell and finding out the food came out of a refrigerator and you needed to go home and warm it up. That’s what they did. They gave me something that they did not cook or make and I had to warm up. From all the reviews I see on here it looks like it’s a nightmare trying to get them to make things right be it a store credit or refund. Once again ...
