Floor & Decor — Local services in Wheeling Township

I visited Floor & Decor two days ago to get some items. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I found a store associate in the aisle over and asked if he could help. He just looked at me and with uncertainty said "sure". It felt like I was being a bother so I told if he couldn't, if he could grab someone else to help me. He spoke into his radio to have someone meet me then left with no word. Not even "Someone will be right with you" or "I called someone, stay here and they will be right with you" etc. After waiting a few minutes, no one showed. I walked to the front of the store and saw two gentleman at the register talking. I asked if one of them could help me. They both looked at me like I was interrupting something. No real acknowledgment. I showed the one guy what I was looking for. He walked back over with me to where my items were and grabbed them for me. I walked back to the register with the items. I approached the guy at the register and greeted him with a "hello". He looked up at me and then back down to continue writing in his log book. Again, no acknowledgment. Not a "I will be with you in a minute". Once he was done with his logbook, nothing was said. He right away scanned my items with no word. The only thing he said to me was if I had a number with them for rewards.

I will note that I was carrying my sleeping TODDLER in my arms during all of this. I am not looking for handouts but none of them offered to help or asked if I needed help carrying my items. For reference the items I got were (3) metal trims, for the shower area, that were pretty long in length.

Everyone I encountered that day was highly unprofessional and rude. I'm not sure if it's because I am a female or if that's how they are...

Went in to this location from another as the original location we go to did not have the quantity of tiles we needed, so we came to this location. The store has a great set up, but the employees seemed to be rude. We are regular customers when it comes to floor decor, when doing home remodeling as they have a great selection. It took us about 10 minutes to try and find someone to help us, as we had the sku # of what we needed, we just needed to locate the product. When we did get assistance, he was quiet and reserved and just seemed uncommunicative. We thanked him and he just walked away. When we went to pay, the cashier was rude as well. She was kind enough to double check the box to make sure all tiles were accounted for as they were "open," but she had to come around to scan the other two boxes. My 4 year-old and mother were with me and as she approached my daughter and mother were by the cart, she states, "I need 6 feet, as we still are social distancing" at which my mom and daughter stepped away further to accommodate her! FYI, they were within CDC distance guidelines, and she came around to US without letting us know that she was! We are ALL well aware of the 6 foot social distancing, in addition to wearing a mask! I am helping my brother to renovate his bathroom and I needed to choose a vanity, shower door and faucet, and, also, to choose tile for my own remodeling. I am usually very picky at what I choose and it takes so much time and effort for me to make a decision. But this time I decided to try the design desk. Designer Archana Dhanji met me with nice welcoming smile and offered for help. I explained her what I am looking for. She patiently listened to all my requirements and provided me with several great options which would perfectly integrate into the project. This helped me to make my decision quickly and on the spot. She also showed me a beautiful tile combination that I am strongly considering for my master bathroom. I am so pleased with her exceptional customer and design services. Her knowledge of the inventory and passion for accomplishment and her up-beat personality have been an inspiration to me personally. I would definitely recommend her to any person who is looking for efficient service in getting remodeling materials and design ideas.
