Young's is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of White Bear Lake, and stepping into this charming fast-casual Korean restaurant feels like entering a culinary haven. Sami and Young Lim, the dynamic duo behind this establishment, have poured their hearts into creating an inviting space that exudes family warmth and community spirit. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with Sami's infectious smile and genuine warmth, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. Her passion for hospitality shines through as she expertly manages the front-end, ensuring every guest feels like a cherished member of their extended family. In the kitchen, Chef Young Lim showcases his mastery of Korean cuisine with dishes that are as flavorful as they are nutritious. The commitment to quality is evident in every detail, from the homemade sauces to the tenderly prepared burnt ends and comforting rice bowls. What truly sets Young's apart is its dedication to preparation. The food here is not only delicious but also clean and nourishing, prepared with care using fresh ingredients and traditional techniques. Whether you're savoring a bite of their signature dishes or enjoying a sip of their thoughtfully curated beer and wine selection, every aspect of the menu reflects a commitment to excellence. Beyond the food, Young's radiates a sense of belonging. It's clear that this is more than just a restaurant; it's a labor of love for the Lim family, who have seamlessly woven their heritage and passion into the fabric of White Bear Lake. As you dine, you may catch a glimpse of Young's quiet charm, his smile or wink speaking volumes about his genuine nature and love for what he does. Young's is not just a place to eat; it's a destination where flavors dance on your palate and hospitality warms your soul. So, gather your loved ones and discover the magic of Young's—it's an experience you'll want to savor time and time again.

I came here with a friend because it was close to her house and we love Korean food. I didn’t have high expectations about it being “authentic”, since it is Asian food being served in White Bear Lake - a community with low diversity. However, I had a wonderful experience. The decor inside was clean and modern. They really make use of the small space they have and there is enough seating to fit about 20-25 ppl (tight). They even have outdoor seating. There was only one person taking orders at the counter and it seemed only one person working in the kitchen. The menu was limited, but I didn’t mind because they had bibimbap - my favorite Korean dish. We ordered the Kalbi bibimbap and chicken wings (half spicy and half soy garlic). The staff behind the counter was sweet and helpful! She shared their food ordering process and then took our orders. While we waited, we grabbed compostable silverware and made waters with lemon. The food came out within 10-15 minutes and we finished both our bibimbap bowls. The bibimbap bowl was so good! The meat was tender and moist, and the mixture of veggies balanced it perfectly. We were so full and could only eat one chicken wing. The wings were good, but did not look like the picture on their website. On the website, the wings look crispy like Korean fried chicken that has a batter on them. However, in person, the wings did not have a batter and were not crunchy. I recommend the spicy Korean sauce and not the soy garlic one (tastes too plain). I’d definitely come here again (especially during the summer so I can walk across the street to Cup & Cone after for dessert). I would love to try the other items on the menu!

Fabulous new restaurant - opened Mar 15, 2024! We went with friends a month after the grand opening and tried almost everything on the menu. SO GOOD! Sammy (Samantha) provided exceptional service. We first ordered at the counter, and she additionally provided table service. ("Smiling Sammy" was the sweetest server that I've had in a long time - super friendly, attentive, and flexible.) The Tuna Tataki and Beef Short Ribs are our favorite. The ribs are technically a sharable appetizer, but it also makes a great entree. (We don't eat rice, so the gluten-free, healthy options were greatly appreciated.) All the menu looked and tasted delicious! The amount of ahi tuna served with the Tuna Tataki or Rice Bowl is a crazy awesome value. I was able to get an additional salad (no meat) with my meal, even though it wasn't on the menu. For beverages, they have water, milk, coffee, tap beer, wine, two large coolers of bottled alcoholic beverages, and a soda fountain. As a brand new business, the food was delightfully tasteful and surprisingly consistent. The atmosphere was very clean and cozy. Inside seating accommodates maybe 40 people with tables and 5 bar stools, so it works for solo dining or group dining. Outdoor patio seating accommodates another 6+ tables and looks super cute at night with the pergola and twinkle lights. Unlike most other White Bear area restaurants, there is a LARGE PARKING LOT, so parking is easy. The neighborhood is very safe, and Cup & Cone (a very popular summer ice cream stand) is directly across the street. I imagine this place becoming a local favorite. Highly recommend!
