CheleTom Cake & Candy Supplies ( formerly Bev's) — Restaurant in Whitehall

Went here for a cake for my mothers birthday recently. Heard wonderful experiences about thise place, but for me that was the complete opposite. The experience started as I pulled into the confusing parking lot and did not know if I should park straight or on a slant. Walked into the bakery which I was hoping to be a warming smell, but it smelled like garbage which made me hesitant to buy the cake or run away. The lady serving me seemed to be very nice, but seemed a little cocky when checking out. Walked cake to parking lot as the lady stood there and watched me struggle to open the door. Absolute worst place I've ever been. I've heard bad things about this place before but I had it a shot anyways. First of all, you walk in the store and the employees are nothing but rude and unhelpful. There is no prices on anything and when you ask how much something is the employees get an attitude. My mom tried to ask a question multiple and the people just turn their heads. Then I'm waiting in line holding a bag of chocolates and the bottom of the bag tore open and they went all over the floor and they made me pick them all up while holding my 11month daughter. Then lady has the nerve to say to me in the rudest tone "that's what the baskets at the front are for." I was holding one thing in my hand and their bag broke. Worst...

My daughter is a fairly new business owner (baking) and is in town on a Summer Break. We were referred to the Cheletom Bakery from a family member who loves the place. Upon entering you are immediately cordially greeted and asked if you need help with anything. That sets the tone for a wonderful visit. It's nice to have good quality supplies all in one place and not have to go through loads of low quality product on amazon. Michelle is friendy, very knowledgeable and down to Earth. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Tom as yet but I have spoken with him on numerous occasions via phone. His customer support is fantastic! They always make the entire process smooth and...
