HORRIBLE EXPIERIENCE. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF. over 30 minutes late and unbothered. Manager acted like it was my fault I didn't speak to him earlier. WORST experience at a restaurant in my life.
To start, my grandma got put on hospice and was told she had a few days left. I dropped everything and traveled from Austin, Texas to the lehigh valley, pa to see her. During my layover, she said she didn't have much of an appetite, but I promised I'd bring her a dinner after I arrived.
Her favorite for years was red lobster. My grandpa and our family would often go to this location to sit and eat on Sundays. For mothers day, he would always treat her to a lobster tail dinner. It was one of her favorite meals. So I decided to surprise her to a lobster tail dinner, just as my grandpa would have wanted her to have. I landed and placed the order about 3 hours in advance for pickup. Unfortunately, she can't go out anymore as she is in very bad health. The order told me it would be brought out curbside.
After about 10 minutes, no one was coming out with the food. So I went inside and was told they were still working on it. So I sat and waited. More time passed and I asked again, and was told rudely by the hostess they didn't have enough servers or runners which didn't add up to me. At this point another customer who had also ordered online for pickup was being given the same runaround for her food as well, which was also 20 minutes late at this point.
Then my husband came inside and asked what the holdup was. Hostess rudely told him they were "understaffed". He said it was now over 20 minutes late.
We had ordered online and told my grandma we'd be there at a certain time, and she was now all upset because we were now late. Hospice was hard on her and she was also a diabetic, and her blood sugar got low. She called me saying how she had low sugars and was all upset ... so at this point me and my husband asked to speak to the manager. The food was now over 30 minutes late. The other customer had walked out and given up on her order.
The manager then grabbed the food and acted like this was my fault that I didn't ask for him earlier. I was a manager myself and was appalled at how unprofessional everything about this experience was! The hostess was incredibly rude and not helpful at all and the manager acted like it was MY fault I didn't immediately ask for him. I personally would have canceled this and called my bank for a refund they were not giving me the.food I paid for! But my grandma wanted it and it was one of her last meals.
The food cameout and was lukewarm and we had to heat it again for grammy when we got there. It seems that it WAS ready but the hostess who was scrolling on her phone couldn't be arsed to actually check on it, ask a coworker for help, or couldn't just quickly grab it and hand it to me herself.
I'll definitely be talking to cooperate because there was no excuse for any of this, red lobster. Shame on you for rude, horrible service and lukewarm food and then having to explain to my upset, terminally ill grandma why I was late and why her dinner was horribly late.

Read moreI went to red lobster with my toddler son. My son does not eat most meats or seafood but he likes red lobster fries. I order the endless shrimp and I ordered a separate side of fries for my son. When I put in my first order of shrimps I barely could’ve ate all of it because I got full quick. The server kept coming to me and asking me what I would like for my refill even though she sees I haven’t finished what she’s already brought out. My son ate a biscuit and when he got his fries he didn’t finish it. At the end of my dining experience i had a lot of shrimp on the table and my son fries left because as stated before the waitress kept bringing out shrimp seeing I haven’t touched them. I couldn’t eat anymore so I asked if I can get a box and my bill. The waitress said yes she will get me a box and walked away and after waiting for over 40 minutes a manager man comes over and told me I cannot bring home the shrimps I ordered. I told him I was unaware I couldn’t bring home the food and that I didn’t even finish the first three shrimps that was given to me and he said he will not give me a box. I said okay, can I at least have one box to take home my son fries and the man looked at me with the rudest look and said no he will not give me a box then proceed to say he rather take the fries off then to give me a box to pack my sons food. I was in shock. I brought my son to have dinner and he ate one biscuit and I could’ve brought home his fries to eat later and the man refused to give me one box to pack my son fries because he doesn’t want me to pack any shrimp which I told him that I won’t pack any shrimp. I just want to bring the fries I ordered separately from the shrimp home for my son and he said he will not give me a box no matter what. I’ve been going to red lobster since I was a child and I never came across someone as rude as this man was. I couldn’t believe someone wouldn’t let a child bring his fries home. He said it so rudely and slammed his hand on the table and shouted goodnight and walked away. This man should not be a manager. He does not know how to be kind to customer and is extremely rude. This experience has made me decide that I will not visit red...
Read moreHaven't been to this establishment in at least twenty years. The place was at least half empty and we sat at the bar for almost an hour before we could get a seat which makes no sense whatsoever. Our waitress was awesome her name was Faith and she was a super nice person. Unfortunately the food did not come out in any type of order whatsoever. There was another server that brought the remaining dish out about 20 minutes in during meal and had a cocky rude comment on top of it. Talk about being disrespected it was about as bad as it gets. Let me once again stress our actual waitress her name was faith and she was extremely kind and accommodating. Other than that the rest of the place was complete order mayhem. Completely rude and unaccommodating. As far as we were concerned it was like a small asylum run by the inmates. No organization whatsoever, and the food was mediocre at best. Red lobster for so many years I don't even know. But always seemed to hold a standard. But I can tell you that's all out the window for sure. It actually seemed like there was no form of management whatsoever it was a free-for-all. And for what they charge the food was absolutely pathetic! Our actual server her name was faith she was an extremely good person. Unfortunately the place as far as we're concerned has gone to hell in a handbasket. The way we were over all treated and the quality what's this craze for so all I can say is good luck cuz I don't think you're going to be too happy! Just another place that used to be good and has gone to hell and it's run by a bunch of irresponsible kids without attitudes. A company ought to be ashamed of themselves. Just close the doors and save a lot of people unnecessary aggravation, and paying for garbage food. The only thing they got left is their biscuits. And if you don't like biscuits I don't recommend going there. The franchise has gone to hell. Go ahead take a chance you'll see...
