Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Whitehall

oh boy, where to start. Pulled up, see a line at the drive thru, which I generally consider a good sign.....however.....(NOTE: 3 cars ahead of me left without placing an order), I get to the speaker to place my order, they ask me to pull up to the window or order, no biggie, I pull up to the window that is barely hanging on by a thread!! Young woman apologized for the wait, took my order (2) five piece tender combos, she yells to the back that she needs 10 tenders, okay, getting them started, sounds good. She goes on to ask for my sides, I requested mashed potatoes and gravy for both, check, then she tells me the only drinks they have are bottled water or sweet tea, the soda machine is down AGAIN. I request bottled water (one of which was mashed on top, but not a big deal, just one more straw on this poor camel). THEN she comes back, to tell me its going to take a few minutes, they need to THAW the tenders!!! I feel bad for this poor girl, she's doing the best she can. Asks if I would rather get something else, 2 legs and thigh or wings or 2 thighs and leg. I asked if I can get a breast, since I ordered white meat, but apparently that's going to cost extra. I explain that it seems a reasonable trade, since they don't have what I ordered, so she YELLS for the manager....THREE TIMES!!! I never did see the manager. Finally, someone in the back yells that they have 5 tenders, but have to thaw the other five. I ask for a refund, she yells for the manager again. Still no sign of manager, so girl finally gives me the five tenders with mashed potatoes, and 2 breast pieces. I should have looked in the bag, I had mac n cheese (waaaaaay too salty) instead of my mash, no BBQ sauce that was requested for the tenders, and they also didn't have the pumpkin cheesecake pies that we requested. Overall, on a scale from 1-10, I would give this particular location a solid 3. The employees seemed like they were TRYING to make it a good experience, but zero support from management. She should be fired, close the store til it can be repaired/refurbed and bring in...

OMG this churches location is a terrible mess. It states online that it opens at 10 a.m and I have been by there several times on my lunch break at 11 and it was closed. Well I was driving by today and saw it was open around 11:30 so I stopped. 1 person in line in front of me so I was a happy camper. Get ready to order and the first thing said was we can only accept cards or exact change. So I proceed to order and wanted to place 2 separate orders but the worker couldn't do separate orders because she was the only one working. I don't understand the point in that but okay so I ordered a number 1 and number 2. We don't have any white meat would you like to continue with your order um yes just give me dark then I said. Then she tells me to hold on a minute. She comes back and says we have white meat sorry about that continue with your order. Ordered 2 banana puddings and then I was told to hold to only find out they didn't have any none was prepared that morning. So i asked for an order of there jalapeno poppers which she said they didn't have that they were still getting the fryers ready to make some but it would be a minute. I'm confused at this point you have been open since 10 a.m and it's 11:30 a.m and your not ready to fill orders. At this point I just want to pay and go and so i pull up to the window to pay. Then was asked to pull a head for another 15 minute wait. Omg this point I'm about to be late getting back to work I'm so through with this particular churches chicken they are so unequipped and unprofessional it's not funny. I will never go to that location again they cannot seem to get it together at all. Definitely left me with a bear feeling towards all...

Used to have 5 stars, had an awesome crew but here we are in 2025 and it's all gone downhill. Lucky they even got 3 stars out of me. The workers and it seems the policy are the biggest issue. Never know when they're open even though workers will be inside the restaurant and the time could say 10:00 p.m. and it could be 7:00 p.m they'll leave you sitting there at the drive thru waiting till you get pissed and go up to the window or try to go inside and then they finally tell you that they're closed, it's just frustrating to even bother going there. I hadn't gone in years after the handful of times that I showed up there at like 6:00 p.m. and they told me they're closed, then recently I decided to try it so I pulled to the side to place an online order and watched another vehicle pull up and it was still daylight outside and the same thing happened to them they say there the whole time I signed in online and was looking at stuff deciding what to order, finally almost 10 minutes into it the lady pokes her head out the window and waved at the guy that they're closed. There was another worker out back that seen him waiting there and must have went back inside and told her and that prompted her to poke her head out the window and let him know, otherwise he would've just sat there till he ran out of gas. I swear almost every time I pass it they got a worker or two out by their vehicles smoking cigarettes. I can count three or four people there and if it's after like 7:00 p.m they're going to tell you they closed, that just doesn't...
