Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Whitney

I like Capriotti's in general. This is the 2nd or 3rd location I've patronized. The sandwiches are tasty and their salads are also pretty good. The prices are reasonable making it a sound value.

This particular shop was at the end of a strip plaza which was wonderfully un-busy when we visited around 8:00 PM on a Thursday. The gentleman who waited on us (CJ) was very pleasant and genuinely helpful. You just had the sense that he was keenly customer-oriented and knew his product range. We had the place to ourselves making the small seating area feel quite roomy. My wife had the 1/2 Wagyu Slaw Be Jo, which was quite good. I tried the Half BBQ Turkey Salad, which I enjoyed a great deal. It was prepped very nicely with a nice mix of veggies topped with crunchy bits and BBQ sauce. It's a nice concept for a sandwich alternative. We shared a drink, so with tax and tip added to that and the food, we spent $23. That's a great deal!

I hovered between a 4 and a 5 for this rating because I think this is really a very nice, informal lunch or dinner option and it's very good for what it is. It's just hard for me to give a chain a five star. That uniqueness aspect is taken away and they simply have to be extra special to earn the highest rating given my proclivities. I love capriottis but definitely disappointed today , I work a very busy schedule and sometimes don’t have the time to pack a lunch, I used the online service to order and pay for my sandwich so I can pick up and go. I received text message that my sandwich was ready, I stop by and sandwich was not ready which is ok not a big deal since I was told “it will be ready in 3 minutes” , as I wait I got a very important business call which had to step out to take. I was on the phone for 10-15 minutes. I came back inside to store expecting my sandwich to be ready just to be told that because I stepped out , my sandwich which I paid for was given to someone else. I don’t understand how that is ok. I am always in a rush so I asked to please be refunded as I didn’t have time to wait for them to remake my sandwich, they refunded only $13 for a sandwich that I got charged $14.62 I called and asked for the rest of my money and they said to come back and handed me $1 dollar bill cash. Not exactly my $14.62. At this point my time is more valuable than trying to get the remainder of my money I’m owed. It’s sad that customer service is not important to many company’s now days and sad that a place we’re I have always enjoyed the food left me with out lunch and now have my first meal until 7pm today. We have been a fan of Cappriotti for years. We love their sandwiches, so delicious and not dry at all. Capriotti’s has opened a new location on E Sunset Rd. / S Sandhill Rd. The restaurant is super nice and clean, not too big and not too small, enough tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich . Our favorite is: "chicken cheese steak "and it is so delicious that we keep coming back over and over again. Yummy! Their sub sandwiches are flavorful, made with award-winning traditional recipes, and fresh ingredients. We have tried their Cheesesteak fries and it is absolutely delicious, a MUST TRY!

Always a go to spot for us when we need a quick bite and of course the food is always a bomb! Highly recommended! Definitely...
