First of all, I don’t live too far from this location, when it first open, I used to go here two times a week, and when my family used to come in town, I used to go and pick up dozens of donuts from them to take to my relatives, it used to be fresh and delicious, but for the past five or six months, it has went downhill, every time I go to pick up minimum 6 to 12 donuts at a time they’re completely hard and stale, dried to the core even the ones that have custard or fillings in them, they always seem to make a mistake with my order, always giving me the wrong donuts, and for some reason they’re really irritable at the speaker when I’m ordering my donuts because most of the time they never have the donuts I want they’re always sold out, so I made the choice not to go to pink box anymore, and I really did like them. I spend so much money there but I guess I’m gonna have to go to Carl’s donuts down the street. I mean I really cannot stand getting there dry, hard, stale donuts it’s like they’re giving me the leftovers and they’re not cheap donuts, they used to be so good, but not anymore, and I bought a few the other day just to see if they were fresh came home completely dried, no taste stale I end up throwing them in the garbage ☹️
So I had another bad experience at this location. I stood in a drive-through at the microphone, taking mine for 20 minutes. The guy kept on saying I’ll be there in a minute. I’ll be there in a minute. Of course he forgot about me. I went up to the window and he said oh I’m so sorry. I didn’t know anyone was there. I’m like what the hell are these people on some kind of medication or something because they employees are not consistent!!! And when I talk to the guy that runs the place, his name is Joseph. He basically laughed on the phone, thinking the whole episode therefore, he connected me to another guy that’s supposed to be in control of his name Alex I spoke to Alex and he said he’ll get back to me and he never did over a month later and I text him and still nothing. These people don’t take anything serious and they don’t care about their customer service. I spent a lot of money. of course, as you know, I’m never going back there again between their employees. The two guys running it. They’re horrible. They never took care of the problem and Joseph seen my message, but he never responded. So these people are a joke. I’m going to Carl’s donuts down the street people go to them...
Read moreI had never heard of Pinkbox Doughnuts 🍩 but knew they must be special. As a licensed Realtor, we have to attend mandatory continuing education classes. Typically the classes are excrutiatingly boring. 🥱 So, to attract students to a CE class, the teacher bragged, "We are serving Pinkbox doughnuts." And yes, they are special. Las Vegas Review Journal readers named them Best in Las Vegas ✔️ every year since 2017. And yes, they are a homegrown, battle-born Las Vegas company. So what makes these doughnuts so amazing that there are lines out the door at 2 pm, a definitely not-doughnutty time of day? First, Pinkbox makes its doughnuts fresh daily. That includes toppings like maple bacon 🥓for the Porky doughnut and all the fruit fillings. 🍎(Take note, fellow blueberry lovers.) They don't only sell doughnuts. They have five flavors of croughnuts. The Blue Face DoughCro is actually my favorite at Pinkbox. There are also vegan doughnuts at this location. Second, you will chuckle at the names. For example, Pinkbox calls its classic doughnuts (you know, like the ubiquitous glazed one) the OGs. The cinnamon sugar is dubbed "Brown Suga." The vanilla sugar one is "Suga Daddy." The lemon-filled doughnut is John Lemon. 🍋 You get the idea. Then there are the Good Fellas, the Fancy Pancys and the Showoffs. Reading the names is part of the fun. There are special doughnuts for the Vegas Golden Knights and Raiders. There were special doughnuts for Mother's Day and graduation. Third, it's an experience. Read the punny sayings all around. You've gotta love pink. 🌺 It's just a fun way to ingest sugar. Finally, it's convenient. There's a drive through if you don't want to get out of your car. And it's open 24 hours day. If you need your Pinkbox fix at 3 am 🕒after a night on the Strip, they are there for you. Yes, they are expensive for doughnuts. 💲 But hey, it's worth it! I have to admit I attended the CE class just to see what the fuss was about ... and get those *&($% CE credits. But I came back and bought my own because the doughnuts...
Read moreWe went inside of Pink Box to get two dozen donuts for my son's birthday party. My son was busy picking the donuts out that he wanted, so we were there for probably 7 to 10 minutes, if not longer. The lady helping us out was excellent, however there was another gentleman "working" but the entire time we were in there he was speaking with a couple at the register that had already paid. There were 3 people waiting behind us for donuts and I felt pressured since no one was helping them and I was telling my son to hurry up, which was unfair to him. The other man continued to chat at his register while the girl had to ring up 24 differently priced donuts & make my iced coffee. The other customers literally had to wait until my son was done picking out all of his 24 donuts, my iced coffee was made & we got rung up & paid before they were attended to as the older gentleman did not acknowledge them or take them into consideration while he continued to talk to the other customers that had already paid. I felt bad for the girl but I could tell she was used to it. IDK if he was the owner, co-owner or owner's family but it was not nice.
UPDATE: The owner, Joseph , reached out to me. (It was him at the register, lol! He let me know it was a "meeting" of sorts, that he happened to be in at that time that he couldn't reschedule.) He reiterated that their goal is great customer service with everyone and he was happy that I was worried about other people's wait times. Very easy going and easy to talk to. He apologized and I updated to 5 stars because now I know the 'why' behind...
